I am only rating one star due to having to provide a rate with my feedback. Otherwise, it would be 0 stars. The last time I went to this McDonald’s, I ordered a Big Mac meal with no cheese and no onion. After ordering, I went to the fountain to fill my cup. When I got back to the counter, my order was ready. With how quick this was, I was very shocked. I proceeded to check my sandwich like I normally do, to find that there was cheese on it. That’s fine, I just told the guy who handed me my bag (who I am assuming is the manager) and he had the employees make me a new sandwich. So, I waited much longer this time around for my sandwich to be done (he wasn’t paying attention—they also were not busy at all). When he handed me my bag, I checked my sandwich again. This time around, there was no hamburger in between the top buns......so, the man asked if something else was wrong with it and I told him that there was no burger on it, or anything at all between the top buns. He was just as surprised as me, but he took my sandwich/box and lifted the top bun on my Big Mac (to, idk check if there really wasn’t a hamburger there?) with his BARE HANDS (no gloves!), gave that same Big Mac and my box to the employees to fix, then proceeded to hand me back the SAME sandwich he just touched with his bare hands. This time around when I got the Big Mac, there was only a hamburger in between the top buns, and everything else was on the bottom. At this point, I was very upset and I told him that the rest of the ingredients weren’t on it, but he just kept telling me that all of it was on the bottom. That’s fine and all, but with the terrible experience I just had, he could have accommodated me much better. If I were him, I would have made the customer a brand new sandwich, perfectly and myself. I work in food service and I would never give my customers this kind of experience. The customer should always receive the best customer service AND the best product. I was and am still very appalled that the guy who I believe to be the manager touched my sandwich with his bare hands, then handed me back the same sandwich to eat. I do NOT recommend...
Read morePersonally I can't eat McDonald's anymore except for the breakfast menu. The burgers and stuff just make me sick to my stomach. As well as the smellin the restraunt reminds me of wet dog so I try to avoid going there. But I definitely do not have any issues with the Mcmuffins and the various biscuits. In fact I find it a comfort food going back to my childhood. This is definitely one the better locations to stop at. It was rebuilt a few years ago and it's been modernized and is staffed by quality workers and they are generally very quick to get you your order out. I will definitely say that young guy that typically works the register in the front in the wheelchair is extremely efficient and on the ball. He goes above and beyond to make the extra effort to confirm the order before charging you and getting the order processed. While I have had others screw up my basic orders before he has never messed up and should probably be promoted to management. Because he is making the effort to excel in the fast food industry and you really don't see that anymore. He also pitches in to get the orders bagged up for customers when nobody is needing to place an order. But he is definitely the one you want to take your order and serve you. He also doesn't seem to let the fact he is in a wheelchair slow him down or hider his abilities. He has definitely decided to not let his disability affect him in a negative manner and has always been happy and cheerful when I have seen him at work. I just wish that all fast food employees had his drive and work ethic and upbeat, happy spirt while working fast food. I will continue to be a customer for many years to come because of the good employees and the fact that this location has a long history with giving back to the community and youth sports programs going back to when I was a kid almost...
Read moreLet me paint the picture: me and my roommate have been academic weapons during all of midterm week, and all we wanted at 8:30pm on a Sunday night was those sweet, sweet, golden arches. We arrive at the McDonald's at 399 Richland, ready to absolutely grub on our big mac meal and medium fry. When we walked inside to order, we were immediately focused on one of the employees hugging what appeared to be her family, in between preparing the food. She was also making what I believe to be her sister a "special" desert, that was later half ate and then taken and placed at the preparation station, where some meals were being prepared. This said employee was also taking bites and sips of her family's food, all while complaining that "there's too many orders!" and yelling the name of every family member that should come and work there to prove a point to her mother. I got second hand embarrassment. At this point, we'd already been waiting about 20 minutes for 3 items. This is when her mother began to give her a hard time, and telling her that "this is fast food, it should be fast", while causing her daughter to be distracted and creating an absolute yap session that no one in the establishment cared to hear. The cherry on top was when the said employee was handing her family the food after 30 minutes of just us being there, and then told her to check and make sure her order was right, and then THEN THE MOM YELLED AT THE DAUGHTER OVER MAYO AND LETTUCE? They were also out of sweet tea and would not put more in the lobby, so my roommate was forced to go without her sweet tea she paid an extra $0.90 for. In the end, it took us 35 minutes to get a big mac and 2 medium fries. The fries also had no salt on them, so they sucked. Save your time and go to the McDonald's on E State Street. Better...
