There's a new player in town, and this is what we need!
My wife and I finally made it to 101 Smokehouse over a week after they opened, and I sure wish we went sooner.
Instead of a bite by bite critique, going to give you highlights.
The brisket was really good. The fat-to-meat ratio was perfect. The fat was buttery and the smoke ring was perfect as well!
The fried jalapeño cheese curds were wonderful (although I'm not sure that it was cheese curds) and that will be a mainstay of my future visits.
The cornbread was moist, slightly sweet and didn't need butter. Best cornbread I'd ever had.
The BBQ sauces are to die for, ESPECIALLY the Carolinas! All home made in house, they need to bottle and sell it!
Finally...the brisket chili. Man, what a suprise. I rarely order restaurant chili more than once because it usually disappoints (especially compared to my wive's) but not this...oh no, not this. I want to fill up a backyard swimming pool with this chili and just dive right in. Best chili I've ever eaten. Thick, with a wonderful chipotle taste, not too many beans at all.

The asylum has an interesting history, and the facility is huge, but only a small portion is open to the public. They are repurposing the buildings, and Kennedy Museum is located in the original Admin building.
