They tore the old Sonic building down after a horrible accident. A tater tot with faulty breading spent a week at the bottom of the fryer until its core became superheated and exploded taking out the entire kitchen. The only thing that survived was about 30% of the fry cook's skin and a dumpster full of used frying oil. For the sake of cost cutting, with a tinge of nostalgia, they still use that very same oil to this day.
On a more serious note, no one is expecting anything but mediocre food from a Sonic. They expect edible food, hot food, and perhaps most of all consistency. I know what I should get when I go to Sonic, and if I pretty much get that, 5 stars.
I normally take bad reviews with a grain of salt (pun intended), but this place clearly has some issues. The fries here are frequently terrible and taste of old grease all the time. Sometimes they are overcooked and almost inedible.
I know the "owner" responds to these reviews and is aware of the problems, and here's the thing, the problems could be fixed. No one that leaves a review should have to contact the store to resolve anything, and we aren't fishing for discounts or refunds. There are patterns, observe, act.
To tangent a bit, it is always a bit puzzling when a company will spend gobs of money to tear down a building, lose revenue and customer loyalty for a year, and build the same thing in its place. What if that money went to improving food quality, improving service quality such as even paying your workers better leading to better work...
Read moreI’ve been here twice now, first after they opened back up and then just now. I specifically ordered two tender wraps BBQ, but it showed up on the screen as 2 Oreo cheesecake milkshakes. I even asked the girl before I pulled away from the speakers about it and she said “oh that’s just how they show up on the screen”… so I go up to pay and the girl at the window hands me two spoons and I tell her I didn’t order any shakes, but two wraps. At this point I have already paid $15.27 with my card. I clarify with her what I had ordered and she goes to get her manager because she doesn’t know how to reverse card charges. The manager tells her to give me just give me cash back instead of refunding my card I am assuming, to which I get 6.17 back. The receipt for my actual order is 6.67. So 15.27-6.67 is 8.60. I wasn’t given my correct change and if the charge doesn’t fall off my account I am calling my bank. beyond upset right now. This is NOT how to run a restaurant- from someone also on the restaurant industry. I now have a 15.27 charge on my credit card and cash (which I can’t use to pay off my credit card unless I take to a bank and have deposited, which isn’t worth it for 6.00). Read morewent through the drive through and before i could even get a word out the girl working rudely said “i can’t hear you” so i pulled forwards and asked her if she could hear me and again she rudely said she couldn’t hear me, so i shut my car off and she finally said she could hear me but still had an attitude. (i do not own a loud vehicle, they have things right beside the speaker that are constantly running and very loud). when i pulled up to the window and she was handing me my food, she shoved the card, straws, bags and even drinks into my hand barely giving me time to get a grip on them before letting go. now for the food, i had ordered honey bbq wings for my friend and there was barely any sauce on them and i did not receive the cheese with my soft pretzel. me and my friend have also felt sick all night since we finished eating the food. the one time i have actually went in, the place was absolutely disgusting, sticky floors, looked like it’s never been cleaned, etc. i have read many other reviews complaining about the exact same things i experienced tonight. will not...
