Hello, I’m a tea enjoyer and just tapping into coffee. I’ve enjoyed all my new tea & coffee ventures and found myself wanting to break away from other popular franchises. My friend and I needed a quick getaway to have an intimate concert in a relaxed environment and Perf provider that. We sat on the balcony and the weather was perfect.
The environment encourages the working class and students to come in for an alternative focus location. They have a big + small tables where people were zoomed into their crafts.
The gear SOLD me. I’m a cup collector end the Perc cups are ones I’d want to obtain although a liiitttllleeee pricey at a little over $30. They also have beanies, mugs and shirts.
Unfortunately I did not enjoy the drinks. I got a simple iced green tea. They allow you to put in your own simple syrup. As much syrup as I added it tasted like I was literally drinking the green leaves. Additionally, the Good Times Shake is comprised of ice cream, vanilla lavender, habanero and sugar. It’s in the “mild” coffee category. It was strong in comparison to something that’s labeled mild and supposedly made of ice cream & sugar.
Ultimately we both decided on grabbing some water and enjoying the space.
I would go back and probably grab a bottled coke and sit in to enjoy the atmosphere.
I say try it off for yourselves when you’re feeling adventurous and experience...
Read moreOVERALL- large location. Lots of Indoor and outdoor seating tho they fill up quick. Mostly work vibe inside and work/hangout vibe outside. Trendy hipster vibe. Food and beverage was really yummy. Beverages are unique!
COVID/ SEATING- really tall ceilings indoor. When I went Friday at noon, inside was full. Most ppl were not wearing a mask. About 7 outdoor seating areas, small tables. Lots of seating but they fill up quick!
VIBE- mostly working environment indoors. Outdoors, some working and some socializing. Very trendy and hipster vibe.
VIBE of NEIGHBORHOOD- in that cross section, it is very up and coming and gentrified. Immediately outside this little bubble is not so great.
PARKING- lots of free parking in the back. There is also free street parallel parking. The spaces are big for east parallel.
FOOD- I got the lox sandwich and it was really good. I do wish they added a teaspoon more or cream cheese.
DRINKS- really innovative and unique drinks. I got the shake and the coffee old fashion drink. The shake was smaller than I thought but delicious! The coffee old fashion was really smooth and so pleasant! They add a cherry and orange peel just like they do in the cocktail.
BAKED GOODS- didn’t try them but they looked cute and delicious. They were half gone by 3pm.
BATHROOM- all...
Read moreIt's good, quality product for sure. I agree with other reviewers that a lack of modifications is odd, and with a plethora of coffee shops in this area alone it's easy to find those modifications within a mile radius of Perc. I think this place is fine if you want a really nice, plain coffee with very few bells and whistles. I tried a coffee+coca cola concoction and did not like it, and the person with me had another specialty drink (but hey, it was an effort to be a little adventurous!). It looks like they're striving for that very minimalist, high-end vibe and they're doing a good job at that.
I wouldn't wait until later in the day to visit if you're looking to eat - the first time I visited they were out of most of the pastry options by 8:30am. The second time I wanted a simple bagel and cream cheese, but they don't toast the bagels. Maybe I'm just a bagel plebeian, but I was a disappointed in that.
Tl;dr it's good if you stick to the basics
Edit: Gotta drop down a star here after learning about what's happened between Perc and their former head baker. Try to buy from her...
