Waffle House — Restaurant in Atlanta

To go orders shouldn't take 20-30 minutes. This isn't a fine dining restaurant. People sat down after I ordered and got food before I did. I understand people talk to get through the shift. But somehow my order got forgotten & when I inquired about it . The waiter said she had everything ready but the meat. At this point, I had been waiting 15 minutes for my 'To-Go' order. I asked again about the order about 5 minutes later. The waiter said the meat was red so the cook didnt want to take it off. At this point, I'm ready to go. I asked for a refund. The waiter proceed to help me with the refund. Another waiter yells out, " Its ready!" The waiter that was assisting me started to become snappy. "Naw! She said she wanted a refund!" I tried to get the waiter to understand I wasn't trying to be difficult I just feel like it shouldn't have taken this long. If the food was ready then I wanted the food. The cook throws the food into the container and they bag the food. The waiter sarcastically gives me my food. On top of everything, I tipped for the 'To-Go' order and the waiter that took the 'To-Go' order didnt check to see why it was taking so long. The point of this review: Do better! Simply said,...

There is a pick up window, a window to place orders, and a huge sign in the front of the restaurant that shows a menu and how to order from outside. I walked up to the To Go order window and stood there for a few minutes before I realized nobody was paying me any attention. I know I was in full view of the staff, but they ignored me. I stuck my head in the door to ask if anyone was going to take my order. A customer told me that the window was only used during COVID. Well, the last time I checked, COVID has not been eradicated. A staff member finally acknowledged me and said that I had to come inside. I didn't want to come inside because a household member is positive for COVID and I had my dog with me. I left my dog in the car to go inside to place the order, and I waited in my car for 10 minutes. The person who took my order, presented as the most miserable person. Maybe they were tired from working or tired of working, but this person was adult enough to do better. I ordered the All Star breakfast. Everything about the food was okay except the...

This is literally the worst Waffle House I have ever been to in my entire life. If I could give Z E R O stars, I would. The staff is so absent minded, social (with each other), and oblivious to the fact that they have customers waiting to place "To Go" orders. I mean I've literally waited in there for SIMPLE orders (JUST hash browns, or JUST ONE waffle) on TWO separate occasions for over 30 minutes w/ no one or nothing ahead of me. && it's not the cooks, it's the waitresses. The food is ready in a reasonable amount of time, it's the actual wait to order and the wait for them to hand me the food that's irritating. This last time, it was 10 minutes before I left. No one said anything to me when I walked in (which I can understand b/c you're not going to see EVERYONE that walks in the door), but when I got up to the counter BOTH women up there looked me DEAD IN MY FACE and didn't say a word. I drove to the one on Columbia (about 3 minutes away) and got perfect service. I'm here now and will be coming here...
