This place has great reviews do I had high expectations and was looking forward to it but ended up being very disappointed.
My cousin booked a private room in this place to have her wedding after party for a party of 38 people (September 2020) We were told that we would have to social distance and 4 people per table. But instead we were crammed into a small indoor room with no ventilation
NJ indoor dining should be at 25% and aside from our party, it looked like the place was at 100% capacity. It was pretty tight inside and since everybody was eating and drinking of course no masks on. Plus lots of people waiting outside to get in.
I was expecting since we had a party of 38, that the restaurant would adjust their capacity accordingly but it seemed like they were trying to take in as many people possible.
I did not feel safe in there and could not wait to leave.
There was a pre-fixe menu for our party and we were do disappointed with the food. Started with mixed greens salad with apples and candied walnuts which was fine
Followed by shish kebabs which had absolutely no flavor on the beef. They forgot the seasoning.
Entree choices were Mahi Mahi, chicken Penne A La Vodka and chopped sirloin. All entrees were served with garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed zucchini.
Even the penne pasta was served with mashed potatoes and zucchini. Who serves mashed potatoes with pasta?
Actually the garlic mash was the best part of the entree. The mahi mahi was overcooked, dry and tiny portion. I was really looking forward to having a good fish but unfortunately this was not good at all.
My mom was not happy with the pasta and other people at our table were not happy with their streak.
Service was not great. They only came around to check on us twice. Never asked anybody for refills on drinks. I was only able to flag the waitress when food was being brought out.
They ran out of coffee cups to serve coffee and served coffee in paper soup bowls.
It does look like a cute place with a nice outdoor space. They kept showing a video with Guy Fieri and I suppose a pulled bbq sandwich that they must be famous for. I would probably come back to try that sandwich but I would not recommend this place for large...

First of all, let’s talk location. If you’ve got a car (or a friend who’s willing to be your designated driver), you’re a breezy ten-minute ride from most AC hotels. Don’t let the “off-strip” thing scare you—this spot is where the real ones go when they want food that slaps and a vibe that’s as authentic as an A.C. sunrise over the ocean.
Now onto the eats. I’ve been here TWICE in one trip, because once simply wasn’t enough for the flavor bomb that is Vagabond. Let me break it down for you:
🍔 The Viking Burger – Juicy, beefy perfection.
🍔 The Chosen Burger – As in the chosen one sent from the burger heavens. It’s that serious.
🍗 The Wings – Honey, these wings don’t just flap—they SOAR. Crispy, saucy, and finger-lickin’ fabulous.
🍟 THE FRENCH FRIES. Let’s have a moment of silence for how hard these fries go. HAND-CUT, baby. Not frozen nonsense. Crispy, golden, and they stay hot longer than your last situationship. And the sauces? GARLIC AIOLI. OLD BAY SAUCE. A sauce lineup so legit, it’s practically its own tasting menu. You better come ready to DIP.
🥬 The Brussels Sprouts. Sweet, savory, caramelized magic. If you say you don’t like Brussels sprouts, you’re about to become a believer.
And let’s talk service: Sunny, our waiter, was the MVP. Checking in, making sure my fries were hot, my burger was juicy, and my experience was absolute 🔥. Sunny, if you’re reading this—you’re a king.
Yes, it was a little chilly inside, but cut them some slack—I went in March. Summer folks, rejoice, because they’ve got an outdoor patio that’s calling your name, sometimes with live music to boot. Imagine munching on those fries under the stars with a craft beer in hand. A whole scene.
Atlantic City might be famous for neon lights and roulette tables, but real winners know to cash in their chips and head to Vagabond for the true jackpot: good vibes and even better food.
STRONGLY RECOMMEND. Run, don’t walk. Your tastebuds...
Read moreWent to Vagabonds on a trip to AC that I took my parents for Father’s Day. They love Guy Fieri’s Dives, Diners and Drive ins and insisted on going to Vagabonds. We visited on a Monday evening around 7pm and it wasn’t super busy. There were 5 of us and we ordered burgers/sandwiches. We waited over an hour for our food. At the beginning of this hour period our waitress, Leighanna checked on us once and then never came back. I finally asked another waitress where our food was and explained we had been waiting an hour, and she said oh that’s not good. Leighanna then came to tell us our food would be right out but we waited another 10 minutes for our food. She then brought out 4 of the 5 meals and said the 5th meal would be coming right away. It took 15 more minutes for the 5th meal to come. I have worked in the service industry myself and was a waitress for 12 years at many different establishments and have never experienced anything like this. I understand the stresses of being a waitress so I was not rude or mean but it seemed bizarre as the restaurant was not overly busy. After waiting for the 5th meal to come out I just asked where the 5th meal was. Leighanna seemed irritated with us and unapologetic about the long wait. After we finally got all of our food she ignored us and didn’t get us anymore drinks or check on us until we were completely finished. This was probably one of the worst dining experiences I or my family has ever had. At least if things go wrong I would like communication or an explanation of what is going on. The food wasn’t great and the service was dismal. We will...
