I recently dined at JVS and had a mixed but mostly positive experience. The guacamole was a standout—freshly made and absolutely delicious, bursting with vibrant flavors. The fajita was grilled to perfection, with a generous portion that left me satisfied. However, the rice was a bit dry, which slightly detracted from the meal. The pork chops, while also generously portioned, lacked flavor due to overcooking, which was a letdown. Service was very good overall, with friendly staff, though they could have been more attentive with drink refills. The restaurant itself is well-run, with a lively and inviting vibe that makes for an enjoyable dining atmosphere. Omg!! The food is outrageously good!!!! Very fresh and atmosphere is beautiful and seating is very comfortable with cushion tufted wing chairs! I had the chicken fajitas and side order of guacamole with chips! It was delicious!!! Literally the BEST Mexican cuisine I've ever had!! Mind you I was in Mexico (playa del carmen) 2 months ago!! I cannot wait to come back!! This restaurant is a 2 min drive from the boardwalk!! It has a small 4 car parking lot in the back but theres parking on the side of the bldg also. It's a MUST, to eat here every time you visit atlantic city!!! I know I will!!! I'm from NYC but visit here often in the spring and summer. When we walked in we were weary because there were no people inside. We tried to order guacamole, but waitress said they were out so we got empanadas and WOW! The empanadas were huge for the price and super delicious. I got enchiladas verdes and my partner got a quesadilla. We were both extremely satisfied with the portion sizes and the flavors. Everything was delicious and delightful and I have no complaints other than I wish I could try their guacamole because I read another review that said it was fabulous. I am very disappointed that there was no one inside and there seemed to be little business (it was a tuesday at 6pm so Idk). The place is beautifully decorated and so clean.
