Briggs Corner seemed promising. The manager was welcoming, at first, and I was excited to try this place for the first time.
I had ordered the Portuguese Steak (medium rare) with Rice Pilaf and Fries. My wife ordered the Chicken and Steak Tips (also medium rare).
When I was given my food, I cut the steak down the middle, and it was well-done... My wife did the same with her steak tips... and sure enough... well-done.
The waitress came by and asked "Is the steak cooked to order?" I said, "It's cooked more than I wanted, but it's okay, I will just eat it" She looked and noticed it was well-done, as well. The manager came by, apologized, and offered to bring me back one to make up for it..
Well.... the second round was BLUE. This seems to be a common occurrence from the reactions of staff. The manager waited for me to cut my steak, and once I had cut it and seen that it was, in fact, blue, he ran away and hid for the remainder of the time.
I called him over to discuss if he knew that the second steak was not even cooked... He argued with me, told me I don't know my steak temperatures, the first steak was medium rare (while even the waitress and anyone with a brain could tell it was definitely well-done) and even threatened to call the cops on me for telling him that he is a liar, a scam, and that his entire kitchen is filled with incompetent idiots.
I laughed at his ignorance, to find him running off to the bar area. The whole situation was bizarre and this dunce should just stick to pizza. Not only is this establishment run by an ignorant buffoon, but the walls inside looked covered in fly paper or wallpaper glue that was never properly removed.
I paid $20 for fries and rice, because he wouldn't take it off the bill. Another common occurrence we were warned about by the staff after the fact.
So yes, Mr. Buffoon... you are a liar, and a scam! I really wish you did call the cops for me speaking up against your stupidity because I am sure they would have all shared a laugh at how delusional you are if I showed them the meat in question (which on top of the overcooked garbage, and then completely blue, was supposed to be sirloin, but was a london...
Read more$70 for two subs, two sodas and a pizza delivered... I expect the food to be cooked, not raw!!! I have been ordering from Briggs Corner Pizza for years and always loved their food. Over the last several months I have been less and less impressed with the quality of food Ive gotten but i had hoped it was just a fluke and ordered here and there. Last night i finally decided to call because i felt like i cant be the only one this keeps happening to, plus if i was running the place i would want to know if food was going out under cooked. I called while i cooked my family's food in the oven and asked to speak to a manager. When he got on the phone i explained i just ordered delivery and some of the food was undercooked like the center of the pizza and some of the bacon in the blt was raw. He told me that was impossible as they precook all their bacon. I told him i have a picture if he doesn't believe me but unfortunately the last few times ive ordered ive had to recook the food at home (use take out not delivery either way it has not been quality in the last several months but this is my first time calling). He was extremely agressive in his tone from the start and almost condescending the way he repeated the problems i had mentioned. His final comment after asking me questions and then talking over me before i could answer was that 'since i have a problem with everything, he suggests i should never call back'. I was applaud by his unexplainable lack of customer service and explained ive been a loyal customer for years and i have every right to let him know i almost fed my kid raw bacon then had to recook the food for about 20 mins after i paid his restaurant $65+ dollars to do that! I hung up as he was yelling at me and decided to call back to ask for his name. The young man who answered the phone put me on hold and we were apparently 'disconnected'. I called back and ask for the managers name again and he informed me it was Carlos. Later on my daughter found a short thick light brown or blonde possibly beard hair embedded in her sub between the bread and cheese... Ill be reporting this to the board of health... Ridiculous...
Read moreI am not familiar with Attleboro but happened to be in the area for something, and I was hungry afterwards, so I dropped in since it was close by. I figured I'd just get a small pizza to go, and ordered from the takeout register at 8:30 on a Sunday night. It was very quiet at this time- hardly any customers. I was told I could wait in the front lobby and they'd bring my pizza out to me. It was a cold, rainy night, but I waited out there anyway (I don't think it's heated). Quite a bit of time went by, and I wasn't sure what time they closed, but I was thinking maybe I should go back in to check on things. Just then, one of the employees came out because she was actually off her shift and leaving, but she saw me and knew I was waiting for takeout. She ran back in and came back out with it for me, apologized (which I appreciated), and I got in my car. I had to wonder how long the pizza was waiting to be brought out to me (?) I bought it just before 8:30 and it was now 9:00...eek. I was so hungry that I opened the box to have a slice before driving away, but when I picked up the slice it was so mushy I almost couldn't even hold it in my hand. It also wasn't incredibly hot, so, it had time to "set." I think it was so overloaded with cheese and oil (got a tomato/basil pizza) that the crust just became mush. I got home and put another slice in the toaster oven, but still- mushy crust. I'm thinking it just wasn't cooked long enough at the restaurant. It was certainly the most strange pizza I've ever had. Not sure i can salvage the rest of it. Maybe everyone was in a rush to go home that...
