Someone please explain the difference between a sirloin steak and a t bone steak, to the staff at this Denny's . Here's a hint, one has a bone in it!!!!!!!! They gave another customer my t bone steak and eggs, red skinned potatoes, English muffin, AND 4 EXTRA sausages and 4 bacon strips!!!!! Thanks a lot! Great news for the staff off Dumb Dumb Denny's in Atwater CA, this is THE LAST TIME I EVER ORDER FROM THIS DENNYS !!! UNTIL CORP HQ REPLACES EVERYONE WHO IS WORKING THERE, IM OUT FOR GOOD. HOW CAN YOU GET A LARGE T BONE STEAK EGG BREAKFAST MIXED UP WITH A BONELESS STEAK AND EGGS??? PLUS THAT MEANS THE PERSON THAT HANDED OFF THE ORDER DIDNT CHECK THE RECEIPT. Someone needs to teach the staff AND the general mgr positive customer service. I called to check on my refund for my steak order , and was told the mgr that was there in Mar 19th would NOT be able to refund my order. While on the phone I kept being placed on hold since a different person would answer the phone every time. Finally I was able to speak with the general mgr who happened to be there that day. The conversation was negative non compromising and I had to continuously repeat everything. Whomever it was that I provided my info to didn't even write it down so I had to repeat everything when I finally was able to get reconnected to the general mgr. I provided her my full name, and card info and then my phone number. After my phone number she kept asking me to repeat my phone number over and over and over. Then I asked her if she could hear me , she said yes. Then I said, " So you just heard me asking you if you can hear me." Again she said yes. I then once again provided my number and she asked me again to repeat it. I then said I'll call back later when I can speak to someone with common sense who will be able to hear me. She then said , "You won't get your refund unless you go through me to get it. " Seriously??? That's how you talk to and treat a customer??? Since she refused to resolve the issue I will be contacting Corp HQ. All of this for a 35$, meal with a 10$ discount. Denny's in Atwater owes me $25.09. I intend to make sure it's refunded. Read moreI can't even begin to explain how horrible this Denny's is. I can't believe they are still in business after years of horrible service and food. I went in on my lunch hour thinking it would take about twenty minutes to order (to go) and be out of there. Boy was I wrong. It took about ten minutes just to order because the girl, Carolina just couldn't get it right.First of all, they ran out of hashbrowns on a Sunday morning! How does that happen? So I had to settle for red skin potatoes. 45 minutes later I finally get my food. I check to see if my order was right and of course it was all wrong. One damn meal, and they couldn't get it right! And I had to wait another five minutes to pay. So I pay as I'm waiting for my beverages, which they somehow forgot, and my potatoes. Another 5 minutes later Carolina comes out and says that I can't have the potatoes because it would be an extra charge?! So she goes in the back and tries again to get the order right and as I'm waiting, I ask for a manager and ask her why it was so difficult to get ONE single order correct then I ask for my money back. She moves the cashier, Alyzza, over and grabs my money and hands it to me without saying a single word then she walked away!! Wow, I am still in shock at how a restaurant could have such poor service. Save yourself the head ache and drive to Denny's in Merced. I would never, ever recommend this...

I went in around 5 and the place was COMPLETELY empty. Service was pretty quick scince we were the only ones, but the food was incredibly slow. We had 3 orders and they brought each other out 5 minutes apart. By the time the third person got their plate, the first one was already half done with their food.
They also clearly plated the food too early. One of the orders had mashed potatoes and chicken, and while the chicken was hot, the potatoes had already gone cold.
Everything tasted pretty good and the waitress was very polite. She frequently checked on us and made sure we had anything we needed.
For some reason however, another family came in close to us being finished eating, and instead of sitting then anywhere in the completely empty resturant, they sat them right next to us. So we had to listen to all of them with their kids yelling about everything. Normally people being noisy isn't a problem, but we were in the corner of the resturant with them sitting in the table right next to us, and we could see an entire empty lobby of booths and tables.
Overall it was not a bad experience, but its not really a place I would want to go...
