Jams@209 Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Atwater

We had the worst service yesterday (between 4-5pm). I don’t know if the server was new or just in a mood but she was terrible. She took our order and forgot all about us. We had to wave her down for water refills. Ordered 2 appetizers. One came out with our food. She didn’t mention anything about the second so we asked. She said “oh they forgot to make it, it’s coming out right now”. We had all our food and no utensils or napkins. Again, we had to initiate basic service 101. She then put the utensils ON TOP of a side of ranch on the table. So 2 out of the four had ranch on them. The second appetizer was the green beans. She said “I had them hold the jalapeños” Why??! She also ordered the pico on the side for the nachos. All on her own because we DID NOT ASK for that. I like the beans spicy. So confused why someone would make those changes without asking. She also spilled the ranch all over the green beans. At the end we needed one box for the late appetizer. She brought the box open, holding the tab/money folder INSIDE THE BOX!! So unsanitary!! Just nasty. She said good night as she walked away rolling her eyes. We left the leftovers and for the first time EVER we didn’t tip. Possibly the worst experience with a server.

The food was good though!! The only redeeming part of the night.

Nachos 5/10. Would not order again. I’ve had way better.

Green Beans 5/10 Bland because again no spice?? Normally these are 11/10

Kids Grilled Cheese- adults liked it, it was on a bun with yummy cheddar cheese. Kid hated it because kids are basic. She wanted sliced bread and American cheese. Just FYI, if your child is like mine and won’t eat anything thats...

Most miserable place anyone could dine. The food is probably good, at least it smelled good, would have loved to have been served. My group of four ordered 4 burgers and fortunately got a pitcher of beer to pass the time as we waited for over an hour for our food in a dining area that wasn't busy at all. We watched a party of 3 come in and be served appetizers while we sat hungry, a table of two came and and were served apps and entrees, and then another table of two served their entrees. When we questioned the waitress what the issue was she had one excuse after another "well it depends on what you order" "well Im not the cook what do you want me to do" "well the cooks are stressed and tired" along with a real attitude (One waitress we had was great, kind of shy, very polite, wish id paid more attention to names). When another plate of food came out that wasn't ours we decided it was time to leave and go somewhere ANYWHERE else. As we attempted to pay for our beverages 1 of our burgers was being walked out (Shocking) and we were told the order was almost done. Too little, too late, We told them they could keep it as it was inexcusable to serve 7 other people before us. Then the mouth of a hostess/waitress flared up again telling us we probably couldn't afford to pay for the meal anyway and blah blah blah. (the one that cant find her lips with her lipstick, you know the one). She eventually stated well just pay however much you want to pay...well We left a $20 for the beer and walked out. Anyway if you want to be treated decent, go...

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at 209 Jams, and I must say, the experience was delightful. The welcoming ambiance and friendly staff, including the bartenders and waiters, made us feel right at home. The menu offered a variety of enticing options, and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and shrimp salad we tried were both flavorful.

While the food was tasty, I did notice that the dishes were not served as hot as I would have preferred. This did not detract significantly from the overall experience, but it's an area where improvement could be made. Despite this minor issue, the quality of the food was evident, and the service provided by the bartenders was exceptional.

I want to emphasize that my visit to 209 Jams was enjoyable, and I believe it is a place worth experiencing. The inviting atmosphere and the warm hospitality of the staff truly set this establishment apart. I would recommend giving it a try and forming your own opinion.

Overall, 209 Jams has the potential to be a fantastic dining destination with a bit of attention to food temperature. I look forward to returning and exploring more of what this charming spot...
