Mountain Mike's Pizza — Restaurant in Atwater

Pizza is alright for the price, one of the better joints in town. However, if you need reliability choose elsewhere. Every time I come to pick up my order without fail they will not be ready and are not even being prepared minutes still after the promise time. Most recently, had to wait 52 minutes pass my guaranteed promise time. Did love watching some of the workers spending large amounts of time folding boxes and pouring ranch into containers and having random conversations while numerous other customers were waiting in their lobby for their orders to be made. In particular, I loved when one worker joked with another about who was going to pick up the phone first to take an incoming order. All this did, was waste more time that could be used to be efficient at doing what they are paid to do. Also, the manger at the time, not sure her name, had stated that it was because I had placed two separate orders, back to back and that I should refrain from doing since it’s confusing, I suppose some business do not fill orders as...

This place was okay. The diner is a pretty good size. They have machine games for the kids. However, there were kids there with their parents that seem to come from a soccer game, (wearing uniforms) and the kept throwing balls in the game area when our kids were trying to play on the machines. We asked them politely to stop before one of the kids gets hit or hurt with the ball, also asked the employees to say something to them. Nothing changed. That is not why my score is low. The salad bar was not fresh, most of the veggies were wilted, the pizza was a chicken bbq and a peperoni. The favor of the chicken bbq was awful, and the pepperoni pizza was too well done for the kids, (burnt). When I asked about it, they said thats the way their oven cooks them. And when I then asked for pepper flakes or Parmesan cheese, i was directed to walk to another empty table and take it from there. I am expressing my disappointment with the recent decline in quality at Mountain Mike's. It appears that the standard of customer service has diminished with the current employees. I strongly urge management to reconsider their hiring practices and reinstate previous staff members who exhibited exceptional service, such as the talkative and joyful young lady and the Mexican young lady with braids and the outstanding employee, Marvin. I have not seen Marvin in months at mountain mikes nor have I seen that young lady with braids she always brought a smile to my family, she made us feel welcomed.
