Albert's Coney Grill — Restaurant in Auburn Hills

I order a fried egg sandwich here for carry out once in a while and it's always good. Never had a bad one yet.

Last Saturday I decided to eat in for once and deviating from my usual sandwich. Instead ordered a full breakfast (eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast) everything was delicious.

My eggs were not over or undercooked, and the hash browns were made with real potatoes! (so many chain Coney islands use that frozen bag stuff. Yuck!) The amount of freshly made food you get at a real family-owned coney island for such a reasonable price should make chain restaurants and fast food places embarrassed.

Alberts is a great example of what restaurants should be. The staff is hard-working and friendly and the place is kept clean. Don't sacrifice quality for convenience. If you live/work in the area take the time to dine in or carry out here. It may look shabby on the outside but I think we all know by now, the more run down a place looks the better the food...

Used to really like this place they have really fallen off lately the past few times I’ve ordered it was just not up to par, A few times I’ve ordered the veggie omelette and it never came with broccoli all but one time, I finally decided to leave a review because this time around there was hardly any vegetables at all in the omelette it was basically egg and a couple tomatoes. Also they seem to charge for ridiculous things like an extra syrup and when you ask for extra cream they literally give you one extra it’s just annoying. You would think because we come there almost every day we would be more valued but no. I also wanted hash browns and received very dry, hard, tasteless cut up potatoes. Wouldn’t of mind if they weren’t so hard and tasteless. When I called to tell them, the lady interrupted me and said “woah woah woah hang on hang on just talk to the guy that...

Am a tourist staying nearby, prices online is different than in restaurant so price total was different than expected when arrived as I placed to go order over phone and wasn’t provided a total either at end of call to discuss it than. So I was surprised when arrived.

Also asked what tip I would like to leave. Now I’m not from here this state but I’m from this country and as far as I know when doing to go orders you don’t leave a tip. I tipped anyway cuz it was awkward and just wanted to get our meals and go. The food was mediocre anyway. So it was all around not a direct experience like I like I don’t Like all these surprises. The staff was ok and decent but don’t matter still when it comes to money it shouldn’t have been like this.

Update your prices and don’t push customers especially tourist to tip on...
