First let me say...My friend purchased me some crabs and I must say they where very good...Moving right along. I decided to read the reviews today before I drove to your establishment...After reading your reply to certain people that was BLACK...I decided to not support you as a 100% White Woman and here is why....I noticed a young lady that was BLACK (I can see her finger was in the pic so that is how I knew she was black)...gave a review that was not favorable did not have a response from the OWNER (why is that???)...I also noticed a few white people or people you couldn't tell was black recieved a response from the owner trying to make it right....I read a BLACK man review that stated he didn't recieve all of his oysters in a dozen, and instead of the OWNER taking the time to make it right, he choose to go on the defensive and explain something that was very UNNECESSARY and irrelevant as to say to the BLACK MAN, we are perfect and don't make any mistakes ...Then made a condescending statement at the end along with suggesting the BLACK MAN go somewhere else. (when did businesses start giving their business away. Hmm)
Out of all the reviews I read, I didn't see the OWNER suggest that to a WHITE PERSON that had a issue.
Then to read that the Black lady said that she was getting "I don't want to be bothered" vibes from the WHITE women. I am taking my time to write this review, So this foolishness can be stopped. I am sure BLACK ppl are the ones that really keep you in business on the seafood level. As a owner it should NEVER be a time where the opposite race feel less than...The fact that you showed your own bias and prejudice through reviews let me know that you are not ashamed of who you are. As a WHITE WOMAN I will NEVER visit or eat from your establishment AGAIN...I will tell family friends and colleagues to read your reviews. I know once they read them you will NOT be getting their business either. I know people in very high places that can get you canceled. Please do the right thing with EVERYONE. Everybody deserves the same amount of respect when spending money at your establishment. I forgot to mention the review with the black lady where you responded but what you responded to was NOT a complaint...You need to respond to every review equally no matter how long it has been...The Black Man that stated he didn't get all of his oysters you need to respond to him again and make it RIGHT. I will be back to read the reviews at a later date and if they have not been corrected....Say bye bye to your BIAS ESTABLISHMENT. This is not a threat but a promise and i will never make a promise I could not keep...I will be sharing your reviews on ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS to bring awareness on how you treat your customers that DONOT look like you. BELIEVE ME! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED....RESPECTFULLY.
SIGNED,
A WHITE WOMAN THAT IS DISGUISTED WITH THE BIAS OWNER.
NOW DO YOUR PART....YOUR REVIEWS WILL BE READ, AND I WILL BE LOOKING FOR ALL REVIEWS LEFT BY A BLACK CUSTOMER.....IF I SEE ANYTHING LESS THAN PURFECT CUSTOMER SERVICE, YOUR BUSINESS WILL REGRET IT.
ATTENTION BLACK CUSTOMERS: IF YOU HAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW PLEASE MAKE IT KNOWN THAT YOU ARE A BLACK CUSTOMER, SO IT CAN BE TRACKED...THANK YOU AND I AM SO SORRY THAT YALL HAVE TO BE TREATED UNFAIRLY.....BUT IT STOPS...
Read moreSo Iâm trying to find a way to show the pictures but itâs not giving me the option to add them right now. Let me start out by saying, I only came to this market because the one I always go still does not accept EBT. They referred me here (so kind of them) because itâs not too far from them, prices are about the same, and they carry the samethings. Well right off the bat, the owners customer service made me not want to go back after my first visit. Not only was she trying to talk bad about the people that sent me to her, but she seriously gave me that âif you arenât white, Iâll take your money, but do not talk to meâ vibe. But I ignored my gut and went back when theyâre oysters were $1 cheaper per lb and I was responsible for picking up the oysters for this seafood boil (my family has them every week, if not twice a week). That was my last time going not only because she made me feel like I was bothering her by coming inside of her store, but because just like the last time some of the oysters I bought had no oysters in them and were just full of dirt. I know when buying oysters thatâs a possibility, even getting a few with the little oyster crabs in them, but 1 is okayâŠ.4 out of a dozen is not! Iâm not sorry, I wonât go back and I recommend you drive a bit farther to Lakeland seafood market on memorial if you need to use EBT, but to feel like family and to get what you pay for, go to CRabs4you on combee! They arenât accepting EBT right now, but theyâre my favorite seafood market for the past two years! Customer service is everything. Also actually getting what you...
Read moreI hate giving poor reviews, and I wish that I had a choice here. I'm from the Baltimore area of Maryland. I have been eating crabs for over 65 years. I have also cooked my share of blue crabs as well.I moved to Florida 2 years ago, heard about Pop"s via a Facebook Group, Marylander's that moved to Florida. After reading about Pop's I drove 1.5 hours to Pop's excited to get some crabs. I paid $133.21 for a dozen Jumbo crabs, (some of the largest and heaviest crabs I have had is quite a while) I also bought 2 lbs of lump and 1 lb. jumbo lump crab meat to make soup and crab cakes. (They pick their own lump crab meat, jumbo came from a plant in VA). Got home anxious to dive in. The first really large and heavy crab I had was MUSH, in total 3 of the12 crabs were Mush.( that equals $44.20 of the $133.21). I opened the 2 containers of lump crab meat that were picked at Pop's they were totally Mush. 4/8/24 In my over 65 years of eating crabs and living my life I have experienced many many times, people of good will making mistakes and that includes myself. I regret very much posting this review, after all, no small business owner would knowingly allow this type of mistake to occur. The owner contacted me and took care of my losses, and I am grateful to her for doing that. With the attitude that she conveyed, I will in all likelihood give them another opportunity, everyone deserves a...
