Today, too many businesses think it’s ok, to cut back on business cost, by reducing quality. It’s believed the consumer does not know the REAL taste of foods. “They” feed us plastic, wood shavings, cloned, and even FDA approved “Fido bacon”. Well! There are things that should never be altered! I’m this posting I’m talking about our Hamburgers! Does it really cost too much, to use Real beef!, chicken!, or cereal! Even our cheese!! Isn’t cheese (most brands). Still prices keep rising and portions keep shrinking. So, I ordered the “cheddar bacon burger with fries and a shake. They fries and shake were delicious! That shake was real thick, then topped off with a. Nice scoop on top! Mmmm. But then the burger! had a deep fried piece of “cheese?” Shaped like a tostado bowl? with the “burger? meat?, sitting on top, then topped with a bun, on top and the bottom bun hiding under all this. After I tore/or peeled that off, and took a bite. I didn’t know what it was, burger meat, it was not! I spit the first bite out, took another “small bite, thinking, maybe it was that bite, or my tastebuds, or maybe I miss judged my tastebuds. But no! the next bite was the same, “This!” was not beef, at least not from a cow. Have you ever paid attention to the picture of the main product, in ads, of menus, even on tv? They don’t use a real piece of the main product. It may be considered “false advertising?” Well I got a piece of fake meat. Not cheap, fake! It didn’t even have a small beef flavor. I started to go back in and ask for my money back, for the “burger”. But then, I just decided to, let it be their lost. They could’ve gained a customer, instead they lost. I would have spread the great little hole in a wall, I came across. Instead, they get no more...
Read moreWe had a Flip's Burgers in Ceres on corner of Mitchell Road and Service Road(Now occupied by Farmer Boy's)for about 2 years before they closed. Hands down, best hamburgers around. I was bummed when they closed up. But they never advertised-PRed they had opened in Ceres and hence, they never built up a customer base which was a shame. Calling Flip's similar to Farmer Boys is like calling gold and iron pyrite similar-yeah they look same but insides are entirely different. Farmer Boys has a pretty varied menu that includes burgers, Flip's just does burgers and they are a league above Farmer Boy's. Nothing against Farmer Boy's(They have good food) but Flip's has burgers that make you go,"DAMN"!!!! Red Robin,Applebee's,Chili's,In-N-Out,Habit,Sonic, none of these guys can do a burger like Flip's!! Only hamburger that comes close to a Flip's is extinct now. It was a Knockout Burger from Scenic Drive-in back in the 70's(Not today's version). Every weekend for 2 years I'd drive the short distance to Flip's, get a double cheeseburger, drive home, pop open a Dos Equis Gold Amber and savor that hamburger. Not once did it ever disappoint. Sadly they are gone from my area now and its too far to drive to Stockton, so i have to be content with a Farmer Boy's burger when urge strikes. It's a good burger but it aint close to being a Flip's burger. Jeez, longest post Ive ever written! But if you get the opportunity to visit Flips Burgers(Waterloo in Stockton) and you enjoy a great burger-stop-go...
Read moreFlips burger is a how can I describe it. A unique experience and place to visit in Stockton. Going to the 99 from waterloo rd or simply coming from it. You can spot it easily right at the filbert intersection.
It may not look like much but it has a old style brisk hamburger joint. Tall stools and high counters. Tables arranged a little far from each other and a seating booth. The area may be small but the food there is great and cheap.
Many items on their menu right at your fingertips and great shakes to compliment them! I would say a meal could cost you 5-9 dollars for what you may get. But the amount of food you do receive is huge!!! Their service is quick and above par with their lovely staff who is willing to take your order. The inside may be a bit dull but the experience, food and staff is amazing! I would go there again but I...
