I was born and raised in eastern NC good bbq is hard to find and while I appreciated this style bbq and ribs I am not sure if I enjoyed it enough to return. The employees were nice and the chicken and rib dinner was good but for the price of the food more portions or at least sides should be served. When my boyfriend went back to this location to buy a half of slab of ribs one of the workers placed the best piece of the ribs aside so he could keep it for himself since they were about to close meanwhile my boyfriend received a chopped up version of ribs that were mainly large pieces of fat. The employee who performed this shady act with the ribs was called out by his co worker but this still didn’t stop his action to keep the best portion of the food away from paying customers.The ribs were chopped up to the point you could tell it was not a half of slab of ribs and anyone that has a history in cooking knows this is a common trick if you pay attention closely. Paying 18 bucks for limited pieces of ribs and Coleslaw is really absurd. The owner was nice and I am not sure if he is aware of this particular situation but I would think twice about returning. Once looked at the quantity, was satisfied since the servings were huge. After eating about 1/3, decided I would work this place into my route on a regular basis and not care if they raised prices.
