The owner of this business got our order wrong, which is not the first time that this has happened to us in our lives, but there was no "hey we're sorry we made a mistake." The owner asked me to give him the difference in price for the cone, which was 12 quarters. . . . For his mistake. Told him just keep it because honestly it felt embarrassing to try to explain to him that he made the mistake, wrote down the wrong order and charged us for the wrong cone, and then expected us to fix his mistake. I called to ask for the business owners name, so I could explain who I was talking to in this review. He didn't want to give me his name but asked me for my name, so I gave him my name and asked his name again for the review, didn't want to say it. He did explain to me that people try to get free ice cream from him all the time there so he assumed that we purposely ordered the wrong cone to get free ice cream. I asked him to review his security system because I am no thief and don't need free ice cream. I especially dont appreciate being accused of this either. He doesn't understand why it's bad customer service to make a mistake, not apologize and then ask someone to pay for the difference on his mistake. Again we just walked away because the customer service was not great, you can't charge someone for the wrong thing and then accuse them of ordering the wrong thing purposely to steal free ice cream, which we did not, and then stick your hand out for the extra 12 quarters like we were the ones who made the mistake. Not sure about this guys name but he is the owner. The owner kept calling me "brotha" as well while telling me people steal from him all the time there at banana split. Sir I am not your "brotha", I met you for the first time today and it was a bad experience. I would suggest your local "La Michoacana"...
Read moreI am a huge fan of this place, but I had a rude encounter today with the owner( I think it’s the owner) I’m not sure if it was though. Anyways, I had my notes app right in front of me because I was ordering for my family, so I knew exactly what to order. The first thing I ordered was two root beer floats, and he had mentioned that he only had 17oz. For the float which I thought was a little weird because I thought it would have came in a cup but I just shrugged it off and said it was fine. Fast forward I get my stuff and head to the my car and realized I had only received two root beers not the floats. I head up to the counter very politely and said “Hi, I ordered two root beer floats but I’m missing the ice cream” to which he said “I didn’t hear anything about floats, that’s not what you said” but in a very rude manner. I just walked away and said okay. I would have had no problem if he would have said “I’m sorry I didn’t hear you say that” or anything else. I just didn’t appreciate the way I was spoken to, I would have gladly gotten back in line to order ice cream for the floats. I know for a fact I said floats, I think it was a miscommunication between the both of us. I won’t be back for awhile, the whole experience...
Read moreBeen here many times. I went last night and ordered a Boston style malt. Basically a sundae on top of a shake/malt. I think I got charged for the Boston style. Which is surprising because it’s not more ice cream it’s the ice cream you would have used to make the malt with. It’s not really adding more ice cream. It’s using the ice cream you would have used to make the malt but instead u add it to the top. I can see a lil up charge but to get charged for a whole side cart of ice cream when Im already paying for the ice cream that goes in the malt. Then I asked for pecans. The gentleman had to adjust the price. I got charged a dollar more for pecans. Again ok it is what it is. Then I get my malt that had the pecans mixed throughout. It had maybe 5-7 pieces of pecans in it for a whole 1$ more. I showed them. they made me a new one which was great but again for a dollar I would like to see more pecans in the shake/malt. I shouldn’t have to search for the pecans when paying for them. They give you a feee dogwich if your dog is with you is a really great idea and love that. Unfortunately I paid 9.03$ for a regular Boston style malt with pecans...
