EL POLLO GIRO — Restaurant in Aurora Township

First off service is very friendly. I ordered the number 5 half chicken, rice, salad, beans, tortilla and onion and jalapeno.

Chicken was average. It wasn't bad, but anyone could make this at home. No seasonings. While onions and jalapeno were Luke warm, rice slightly bigger than a small mashed potato from KFC. Salad was decent but no dressings offered to me. After taxes $14+ i expected more flavor. The whole onions and peppers make it even more of a prep your own and make yourself meal than usual.

I travel extensively and bang for buck this was not a good deal. Quality was average...

I finally stopped by here on my way home from work. I had been told by several co-workers that the chicken dinner was excellent. Much to my surprise it was better than excellent, it was AMAZING! The dinner came with a whole chicken, two sides (rice and beans), tortillas, and salsa. Enough to feed the whole family. The chicken seasoning was incredible and the portions were huge. A great plan for a last minute meal pick up. I will definitely make this a frequent stop. Not really a place to dine in, however, but...

Ordered the whole chicken, rice, beans, and tortillas meal. I was surprised at how small the rice and beans portion was for the whole chicken meal. In addition, I also ordered fries and was surprised by the condiments they put on them, which wasn't to my liking nor was there an indication that they had more than just salt.
