Dairy Queen Store - Treat Only — Restaurant in Aurora Township

So the very first time I went there I ask for a Brownie Batter blizzard Extra brownie and they gave me some blizzard with chocolate shavings and I called it in, and they said they would replace it. I did get it replaced after arguing with them receipt in hand and telling them the persons name who I talked to over the phone. Then, I go one day around 3pm and the lady on the speaker seems frantic as she takes my order for a Large brownie batter blizzard extra brownie. I get to the window, pay and then she gives me a small blizzard. I look at her puzzled and told her I paid for a large. She goes back in the window and pops back out with a coupon for a free small blizzard. Her name is Hilda. She tells me to accept the wrong size and come back she was the only one working even though I already paid. Then tonight I ordered the same as usual. Brownie batter blizzard with extra brownie. Hilda hands it to me and I drive off. I get Down the road and realize that they didn’t put really any of their chocolate syrup. I go back and sit thru a long line. Hilda literally starts yelling at me because I’m never satisfied. I told her “look at what you gave me, does that look like the picture on the menu?” She Violently throws it away and makes a new one. I told her that I just want my order to be correct when I come. I hate waiting in line just to get something corrected and the way she was talking to me was ridiculous and not anywhere near professional. The picture attached is when she gave me the wrong size and a small voucher to make up the difference after I paid for a large. It cost me .75 cents to get extra brownie batter. I shouldn’t need to pay this but I do to insure I get a decent amount. I’m not looking for anything free I just want my order to be correct and to be treated as a paying customer. Hilda...

This place is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL.

Short review: Go here if you want a quick treat and good service. Apple pay is provided, but does not work 100 percent of the time so bring your card. Very limited parking but also has drive thru. Also, they only sell ice cream here.

I’ve been a longtime goer here for awhile. I always order a blizzard or a cone, and some dilly bars for my grandparents as they are sugar free. Prices are reasonable, and staff is always helpful and kind.

Ice cream cakes are also great as well. Perfect for special occasions like birthdays.

Note that this place only sells ice cream, and not the sandwiches and other items other DQ locations sell.

My only complaint is that the apple pay system does not work all the time, so bring your card if you’re going here.

Place also hires from the high school a lot, so plenty of opportunity for our younger adults...

Normally this place is great and I’ve never had a problem for years and years of going. This time though multiple things were wrong about the experience. Two people were working and neither of them had masks on. I know at least a dozen people that are sick from COVID, kind of sucked to see that they could care less. I know they don’t care about their customers because both were pretty bogus too. Pulled up and the lady was like “yeah what do you want.” Lastly, got two blizzards. The Oreo mocha was perfect.
