Exquisite Skillet Pancake House Aurora — Restaurant in Aurora Township

I'm always looking for a different breakfast spot to try. This place looked promising, lots of people there so I wanted to see what the hype was all about. We were seated pretty quick even though it was pretty packed and we were greeted with the server promptly which was a good start. I ordered their exquisite skillet that was supposed to come with sausage bacon ham along with some vegetables. I chose to get that with the crepes option. The server was very attentive and kept checking on us which was great. Sadly when I received my food that's where the three stars come in. The skillet was underwhelming. I believe they used literally one sausage link one piece of bacon and a half circle of ham. I had absolutely no protein in the skillet and The whole reason why I got it was because of all the protein. The portion size was also smaller than most other places around the area. The crepes were actually pretty tasty, but I was there for a nice hearty breakfast and not the crepes. I think they would do a lot better if they actually went to a couple of restaurants around the area and checked out their skillets, they need to check out Benny's or blueberry hill pancake. Clean, quiet, range of listening music selection. Good service, extensive menu. The booth seats are soft and comfortable. This place reopened 4 months ago. We talked to Brian, he is the owners son. A lot of the staff look to have been retained the prior restaurant. Exquisite Skillet Pancake House is the new establishment. My friend and I were trying to decide where to go to grab a bite when we stopped at the light on Farnsworth and Indian Trail. "But are the burgers good?" They are! 1/2 lb. With all the garnish. Ask for a onion. I thoroughly enjoyed the reuben sandwich. It was everything I desire in my reuben sandwich. Dressing on the side. Of notice and interest, they have asparagus as a side on the menu. This menu is extensive. A lot of throw backs from the diner days of years past. All the melts are present. NICE salad selections. A lot of berries. Poppyseed dressing. Mexican and Greek plates. The low cal plate offers steak, chicken. Chicken salad, tuna salad selections. Crepes had their own menu category. We finished off with the turtle cheesecake. Place is effin magical !! Far from how Goodys was. The food was amazingly fast and on point and trust me my family is super picky. Manager was young but very pleasant. Nice hair too. lol my sister has a crush. Service was awesome! Waitress had a lot of tattoos, very pretty. She was so nice and social and it didn’t seem fake like most servers. Very genuine, good vibe and Super fast and attentive to our needy butts and they were kinda busy! She introduced herself as Chucky which is also pretty cool!! Her other customers liked her too I could tell. The other servers all smiled as they passed. One young girl asked how our day was. Thought that was nice cuz she wasn’t getting a tip from us so she was nice for free lol. We’ll def be back and we’re sitting at the same table with the same server and ordering the same skillets!!
