We arrived for our first visit ever and were seated in a relatively prompt manner.
The server was knowledgeable with our questions regarding the menu items and options. The server was kind and offered to go beverages when we left.
However, the server appeared to be responsible for handling eight, possibly ten, tables. The table service was most likely slowed by this ratio. It could have been that there was a second server that was also on-duty, but the second server appeared to be working in the kitchen more than with tables.
While the overall atmosphere was good, there wasn’t anything that stuck out to our party as exceptional or extraordinary. We found it interesting that no one in the restaurant appeared to be having a good time. It was as though everybody had just attended a funeral, except our party.
The food. The food was probably the worst aspect of the visit. The appetizers were not served before the meal arrived. They were served with the meal. This is not something that we have typically experienced.
While the homemade ranch dipping sauce was above-average, the onion petals were disappointing. The pretzel nuggets arrived slightly overcooked and the beer cheese was of average quality. We did enjoy, however, the copious amount of salt added to the basket.
The sandwiches arrived at the same time as the appetizers. Each sandwich was served with soggy bread on the bottom and the fries were completely burned. The pickle was average.
It may be some time, even if at all, before we return to see if there has been some improvement in the food quality, overall service...
Read moreNormally i am not one to take a bad experience too seriously but tonight's experience at this establishment was one of the worst my step son and i have experienced.
We arrived at the restraunt to grab a quick dinner. After at least a 15 minute wait we were finally presented with menu's and our drink orders were taken. As we waited on Service during that initial 15 minutes at least 2 families entered behind us and grabbed a seat. Close to 30 minutes after we arrived our food order was finally taken. Both my step son and i ordered very simple items that should have been prepped very easily as to not hold up the wait staff to much as it was getting near closing time.
Fast forward to nearly an hour after our arrival we were still waiting on our meals as we watched all customers that arrived after us get their meals, eat, pay and depart. As my step son and i looked to the hot plate to see if our food was close to being done he commented that there were at least 6 meals sitting on the hot plate, none of which looked like what we had ordered. By this point it was just the two of us and 2 other tables occupied both of which were already served and almost done with their meals. moments later the waitress informed us that our meal would be another 8-10 minutes.
At this point i asked the waitress to cancel the order and i would pay for the drinks we had consumed. when she returned with the reciept she brought along a snide attitude with a remark about not being fast enough for my liking.
All in all this will most likely be my last visit to this...
Read moreHad some of the most delicious fried shrimp they make in-house, baked potato and an assortment of grilled vegetables. Shrimp was not greasy at all, witht the lightest coating of fish fry on it. It had just the right amount of seasoning so as not to take away from the Fresh large shrimp. Baked potato was perfectly baked not over-cooked at all.
My husband loved the seasoned grilled vegetables. That was pretty bizarre in itself, since I can barely get him to eat a vegetable . He also had the hamburger steak dinner with fries and he really enjoyed his meal.
Try their made-from-scratch Chile. We both had a cup of their Chile... Great flavor and a lot of meat (not overwhelmed with beans as most restaurants' chile are) I could have eaten a whole bowl. Our server was very good; checking on us making sure everything was good, and if we needed anything. We had I stopped in at Jimmy Michel Ford dealership to purchase a vehicle, and Mason our salesmen recommended the Blackbird....
