I had an unheard of experience with this Culver's. My son was kind enough to pick up dinner for myself and other children before running off to a meeting. When we went through the bags, we realized we were missing a sandwich. I currently have covid and am quarantined, but am also the only other driver in the house. I called culvers, hoping that they would have it ready and I could drive through double masked and pick it up without exposing anyone.
The very nice lady who answered the phone turned out to be the owner, and she not only apologized and immediately had the order made, she brought it to my house! I was floored! This goes so far above and beyond customer service, I am at a loss for words at her kindness.
This was not financially motivated, she wasn't going to make money by doing it (actually she probably lost money doing it), she wasn't going to lose my business forever if I had to go back and pick it up, this was just basic kindness and compassion for a mom who was sick and trying to feed her kids. She even brought my kid ice cream that we hadn't ordered!
I can not remember her name, I wish I did so I could thank her personally,
This is a normal fast food place that struggles to staff and train new employees and has its bumps along the way, but I can say for sure that the owner cares about her customers - and that is not something that is common in normal fast food places.
I guess I should review the food as well...it is REALLY good! I suggest the cheese curds and ice cream to go with your burger! Plus the veggie burger is one of the best we have found anywhere!
Well done Culvers! We are glad you moved into the...
Read moreThis place is an absolute mess. On my last visit, it took almost an hour to get my food. There were at least 6 or 7 teenaged employees standing around doing absolutely nothing or wandering around aimlessly. There was one register open. The line inside had 8 parties waiting and it took me 20 minutes to reach the front and order.
While I waited for my food I watched what was happening behind the counter. The majority of the problems were caused by one woman: the manager. Apparently, she was the only one allowed to put the orders together (get the food from the warming/holding rack and put it in bags or on trays). She was completely frazzled and I'd estimate about a third of the people who had just picked up their food had problems with their orders. Then, with loads of food waiting and growing cold, she would personally put out every fire that she had caused in the first place. I truly think the employees were standing around because she doesn't know how to delegate tasks.
I waited another 30 minutes hoping that it wasn't my food getting cold while she dished out someone's missing custard. A watched an employee on a break get her food in about 5 minutes because it didn't have to go through the manager first. Finally I had had enough and went to the counter and demanded either my order or my money back. They hadn't even started making it, but they did hurry and get it cooked. No apology from anyone about the wait.
The food ranged from bland (flavorless, soggy burgers and fries with no salt) to burnt (onion rings and chicken tenders).
I may try this restaurant again, but it will be a long time. I'm too angry to return...
Read moreI want so badly to like this place because the food is generally good, but two things have even very frustrating. First, multiple times among walking in there will be several employees behind the counter, doing one task or another, usually just keying something into the register, and I’ll stand there and nobody will acknowledge me for several minutes. Kind of awkward just standing there without someone saying “we’ll be right with you!” Far worse though, dine-in wait times here are absurd. I’ve waited a while to write this review, hoping that I just happened to catch them on a bad day… but it’s happened again, and again, and every single time… the wait time while eating in is ridiculous. They usually have a ton of employees working behind the counter, so I don’t think it’s a staffing issue. What seems to be happening is they prioritize the drive-through customers first. I’ll watch car after car get their order before me even though they arrived after I did. Today was really frustrating because we had a simple order for 2 people, and we waited nearly 25 minutes before finally asking if our order was close to being ready. It took them 2 minutes to throw it together on the spot. Why did it take a 25 minute way and us asking for them to handle it? I don’t like complaining, but when the wait times are consistently this terrible for a restaurant, it indicates a problem with the process. Something isn’t working and people will start to give up on the location. Maybe they’ll go to another Culver’s, or maybe they won’t. I haven’t decided if I’ll go back yet, but I certainly won’t do it if I don’t have a ton of time to...
