Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Aurora

If I could give negative stars, I would. My family and I patronize this Dairy Queen on a regular and I am really appalled that the owner hung up the phone while as I was asking him a question. My husband along with my 5 year old son went in to purchase an ice cream cone. When my husband handed my son the ice cream, my son dropped it while still at the register. My son comes back to the car sad. My husband asked the owner if the cone could be replaced and he was told he could purchase another one at a discount. I then call in to speak with the owner regarding lack of compassion for a child and how he would rather faithful lose a patron over a $4 ice cream cone. I don’t think that would have broken the bank for his establishment. He then kept hollering instead of listening to me. Shortly after, he hangs the phone up. We love this Dairy Queen! The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. We always order our ice cream cakes here for our family birthdays. Shout out to Pinky! She does a beautiful job and we wanted to let everyone know. They are conveniently close to our home and really do a lovely job. They are also delicious! We get the standard one but you can also choose blizzard flavors for your cake. I had little ones in the car and I called to see if they would bring my cake out to my car when it was time to pick it up and they have done so for me twice. I really appreciated that so much! I asked for a Large Chocolate Blizzard with the Cherry Tipping they use on sundaes. The store manager even made a point to verify I wanted the Cherry Topping, not whole cherries and even brought over the tub of it.

Well, I got my Blizzard, went home and it was chocolate with chocolate chips, not cherry topping.

I called the store and the same guy who showed me the cherry topping swears up and down that’s what I got. Calling me a liar is a bad thing.
