This place, has a dope atmosphere. Located off Peoria and Fitzsimons, in a Latino Owned community store center, the food truck is right there with there with an open sign letting you know it means business.
That business is kinda disappointing though because from the outside it looked like you was gonna get the best birria in denver and aurora but what i got was a greasy hot mess. The birria was so greasy it looked red and gave me diabetes just looking at it, but i still tasted it and dipped my tacos in it which the tacos were okay, it lacked a little flavor but the meat was cooked to perfection. No veggies on my taco tho, maybe i ordered the wrong ones. Anyways the birria tasted pretty good, i can’t lie. Me and my girl was enjoying the taste of it, but its just so greasy that i had to like take down some points from it.
My girl also got the Ramen birria, which was just some maruchan noodles mixed with the birria sauce and well.. it tasted like how it sounds. Like maybe this is what the prison people be cooking up with the noodles you know?
Anyways its decent 3 stars. Not the best but you can...
Read moreKinda disappointed today was my first time here. There was 2 men in the truck neither speak a English, so it was really hard to order. I asked for 6 steak birria tacos. When I got my order it was 6 carne asada street tacos. I went back to the windows where by the way you will be attacked by tons of bees and flys everywhere. There were bees and flys inside the drinks that sit on the outside of the truck. I tell the guy the order was wrong and I’d like birria tacos. The guy did not understand so a customer was nice enough to ask me if I needed help. I advised him my order was wrong and what I was trying to get. The guy told him basically that’s not what I asked for. He insisted I keep the tacos and he then he passed me consume. I asked is there anyone who speaks English who can help? He had to get his manager inside who charged me 10 more dollars to exchange the tacos. I asked for STEAK and came home they are pork 😵💫 they are okay tacos but dang… this was terrible won’t be returning...
Read moreMy boyfriend have been chasing the quesabirria dragon all over Aurora, only to be disappointed again and again. On a whim the other night we found La Hormiga and our search is over! The birria is PHENOMENAL! Our first night we shared a 20" quesabirria machete for only $17.99 and it was everything we wanted; cheesy, juicy, salty, tender meat, just amazing 🤌 chefs kiss Went back again last night and got 2 orders of quesabirria tacos and.... well. Still absolutely insanely delicious, but if $17.99 gets you a 20" monster, how does $13.99 get you only 3 rather small tacos? Weird math. So learn from our mistake, just get the quesabirria machete! The aguasfrescas are so delicious too, the horchata is RICH, thick and creamy and the Tamarindo has chunks of fresh tamarind pods. $5.99 gets you a gigantic cup and is totally worth it! Te amo La...
