So let me start by saying before purchase or consideration I read the comments throughly thinking it would be a good match so thats why. However everything went completely left. So first I believe it was the owner who i spoke with October 22nd in which i gave a clear description of what I wanted which was a two tier cake with strawberry cake flavor and all around vanilla buttercream smooth with no design at all. She then informed me of a 30$ deposit in which she waved for me which i was very grateful for because i had lost my wallet with my physical card. She then told me to come in the next day to pay final to then have order confirmed. I came in October 23rd around noon to then pay the final to have it confirmed, in which i then showed the exact picture of what i wanted restating that I wanted a two tier cake with strawberry cake and vanilla buttercream smooth all across with not decor and or styling. I even showed a inspo picture in which the worker actually took a picture of. I then paid and didn’t receive a receipt and all I was told to do was pick up Nov 3rd the day I was given. The day I come which was today I was given a huge surprise and not in a good way. I enter and give my name in which she brings out a cake and proceeds to call her boss to ask my remaining balance. Then shows me a one tier cake with design on top of the trim and bottom of the trim. I was very upset but because today is the day I had no time to argue or complain, and then she proceeded to tell me that I owe 65 dollars as my remaining in which I then said something. We were searching for my “pay date” which I began to question did I not pay. She gives me the cake and says they will look for it with my ending card number. I then leave to go set up the baby shower highly disappointed in the cake and because I promised her a specific cake. I then get a call from the lady I first spoke with about my order for her to tell me again that they couldn’t find my payment. I told her I would find it and text it to her. I found it and texted it to her for all her to say is thank you. I find it very unprofessional for me to have to go back records to find confirmation in a product that I paid for which there records should show considering I remembered the dates, the card number, and the total. I will not purchase from her again and Im not tryna be mean but this is honest feedback. Receipts should be issued and when given inspo verbally and physically should be listened to. Dont get me wrong its a pretty cake but not the cake we wanted and paid for. on the right is what i wanted without the decor and the one on the left is...
Read moreUPDATE II: Well just what I was afraid of happening (per my prior complaints below), happened. The “trust-us-we-will-have-something-you-can-eat-so-we-don’t-need-to-put-it-on-a-menu-to-clear-up-confusion” approach is not working. My BF went all the way there to get me a special GF cupcake for my BD. Well this place didn’t have any. They sent us over to city-o-city and they were confused about which ones were GF. They sold him one they “thought” was GF. But I got sick so apparently it wasn’t GF. Also, the strawberry cupcake might have been the worst tasting cupcake I’ve ever had. It tasted like a overly sugared fake strawberry kids cereal - like that strawberry Frankenberry cereal we used to eat. Or like that fake strawberry in Carnation instant breakfast. So getting sick wasn’t even worth it. I miss MBB.
UPDATE: I have tried contacting you since Day 1. Actually even before the turnover from Make Believe Bakery. Mostly on social media - responding to your posts asking questions. But also by phone in the beginning and nobody answered. The website isn’t descriptive enough about what kind of products to expect with GF options. And it’s not really even clear what you sell. It’s very confusing. Is it pre-made baked goods? Or custom baked goods? Or make-your-own dessert, chipotle style? All of this I believe I put either in your website contact form or on IG but I never heard back. I was trying to get a sense of what to expect before I make the trip into town.
FORMER POST I’ve contacted this place several times about Gf options and have gotten no response over the...

We recently celebrated my son's sixth birthday, and the highlight of the event was undoubtedly the customized snake cake created by Angie at the Cake Bar. This wasn't just a cake; it was a culinary marvel that brought joy and delight to everyone, especially the birthday boy.
From the very first bite, it was evident that this was no ordinary cake. The perfect balance of moist, fluffy texture with rich, decadent flavor was beyond what we thought possible for such an exotic cake. Each layer was a testament to the skill and passion at The Cake Bar brings to their craft.
What set this cake apart was its customization. Tailored specifically for my son, it not only catered to his taste preferences but also perfectly captured the theme of the party. The attention to detail in the decoration was extraordinary, creating not just a treat for the palate but a feast for the eyes.
Moreover, the use of high-quality, plant-based ingredients spoke volumes about the Cake Bar's commitment to health and sustainability, aligning perfectly with our family's values. It was reassuring to know that we were enjoying a cake that was as good for the planet as it was for our taste buds.
In conclusion, Cake Bar's creation was more than just a cake; it was the centerpiece of a joyful celebration, a delicious work of art, and a memorable experience that we will cherish for years to come. We can't imagine getting cakes from anywhere else and are already looking forward to the next delightful creation from this incredibly talented...
