Waffle House — Restaurant in Aurora

9/20/18...The southern hospitality was certainly in this place and it erupted from all facets of life and cultures. I enjoyed my fellowship with the warm and friendly staff, even enjoyed a laugh with the cook himself. The food was amazing, as I truly enjoyed my cheesy grits. I kind you not I am not a fan of grits, but for some reason I chose to taste my husband bowl of grits and they were instantaneously mine. I of course ordered him another bowl since I couldn't put his down. I would be remiss if did not tell you about my flavorful and moist chicken breast patty. My husband is a huge chicken fan and so I felt obligated to share it with him. "Hmmm" is all he had to say. And lastly, our waffles, like most breads, it just taste better hot and fresh, so I recommend adding hot syrup to enhance your waffle experience (smh). The waffle was good, it reminds me of a recipe sold in a Waffle House back home in Los Anfeles called, " Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles" which I very much enjoy, however the wait time can be super lengthy and so I subject my taste buds to some other alternative. It was great finding that same great taste here in Colorado at the Waffle House - crowd free on a late Thursday Night. However, in a matter of thirty minutes, friends got word where we were dining after our Church Conference and decided to grace us with there prensce and we went from four at one table to four occupied tables deep. I guess you can say, they heard of the place and agree that the food is worth traveling for. Even now writing this review, I'm texting and seeking a driver, as I am a Colorado visitor for the next 48 hours to take me back to that place of yumminess. I am craving another side of cheesy grits.

Overall, I give this place four stars as it relates to small casual dining. A five would be the spacing for larfe group gatherings, which the design of the business lacks. In addition, the business is in need of remodeling- modern amenities would add to the dining experience. There is something about ambiance and gorgeous design that enhances the dining experience and lastly the level of cleanliness, which needs more oversight. My Mother is a Manager of 30 plus years in the industry and I am a Registerd Nurse with 14 years of experience and so I spot sanitation issues like mosquitos spot free standing water. Nonetheless, I will be returning!

Seems I’ve been ripped off cause to pay 21.87 for a 2 egg breakfast with cheese normally 9 bucks and some change. add 2 sausage patty’s and 2 drinks and it came to 21.81 seems excessive if you ask me.now I get we can all be alittle bad at math and you’re not able to do it in your head but that’s exactly what a calculator is for. Double check your math! Now t2 egg breakfast comes with 3 bacons I only got 2. Not only that I waited almost an hour for my meal there was people sitting in getting there meal before me and I came in before them how that work? Then I ask for plastic ware and they Said they ain’t have none like i don’t run a restaurant but it seems like to operate a restaurant you need to have plenty of everything and not run out just re-up when it’s close to being gone. Im frustrated cause I would much rather eat this food rather than McDonald’s or Burger King I shouldn’t have to take my business elsewhere. Please please get it together. 2nd review now I went back to this establishment today 9-20-22 and once again it seems they don’t know math! I found the same meal that was 3.75$ cheaper 2 egg breakfast hash browns and toast 6.00 I get cheese on my eggs and I pay 6.60. Today they tried to charge me 7 and some change then tried telling me this is the real price like I’ve been coming in here almost everyday and I’ve been paying 6.60 how is it today it’s now 1 dollars and 18cents more? I’m done...

This is terrible but I’m very unsatisfied. I walked in and immediately was greeted by a cook whom was extremely nice. However there was no one in front of me to order or pay but there were several servers walking around doing NOTHING. I had not ordered then a man walks up and immediately the server comes up and cashes him out. So I politely stand behind him. She walks away after she cashes him out. I said I’m ready. She says ok. I continue to stand there. Well then she walks up as a lady is standing beside me and says do you mind if I cash her out I’m very irritated and shrug my shoulders the lady says I will wait and she make the comment to the lady I just didn’t want you standing around so then I said but your ok with me standing around she does not reply. Takes my order with a nasty attitude!!!! Finally……. She waits several minutes to call back MY order. But she’s calling back other orders. I watched them prepare my food and the man I who made the hashbrowns bowl did a great job but this waffle was made before she even called my order back she put it into the container with no gloves on (she had not washed her hands the whole time I was there). Then I get to examine the waffle and it’s cold and hard as a rock. I’m not going to eat it because she was handling this food with no gloves not to mention I called to express my complaint quietly and they hung up...
