I never thought being part of a church could look like this. Having grown up as a Christian and raised in different churches my entire life I've been to my fair share of different churches who make church just something that you attend weekly. A year ago my husband and I we're searching for a church that we could be more involved with. I can honestly say I've never been more welcomed and loved on by any other church or Christians my entire life. That's not to say those other churches were bad, but I never felt that connected beyond attending on Sundays or some Wednesdays. I've been to many churches here in Denver growing up, Los Angeles, Seattle, and even Detroit...but this small yet powerful group believers really live out the word of God through their actions and the way they care for others with arms wide open. I could go on and on... but the main thing that I take away from being part of this church is how the main focus is truly ALL about Jesus and LOVING on other people through genuine community. I call this place home because of the authenticity of the members and the servant leadership I've witnessed here Crosswind. For so many years looking for a place we can call home my family finally found a church that we can call our own. Crosswind hit us right on the home plate. Through the years of being a member here my family had grew in our faith and passion of serving The Lord. No amount of thanksgiving can satisfy us how it changed our walk in Christ. The Pastors that mentored us and the leaders, sisters and brothers that’s always there through thick and thin is really God’s showing His love and mercy to His people. I call Crosswind my home cause the people here are my family. I have seen this church give and bless family that are in need. This is a giving church, each and every member has a deep commitment to serving the community in any way they can. I have been a part of their food pantry, their community prayer walk, their consulate services, their fundraising effort to raise money for needy families....the list goes on and on.
