BEWARE - RACIAL BIAS Having been a loyal customer of this place for quite some time, I am disappointed to share my recent experiences, which have been horrible. Regrettably, during my last three visits, I have encountered troubling incidents that suggest possible racial bias.
On the first occasion, despite ordering an iced mocha, I received a hot beverage and was informed abruptly that the establishment is closing. Today, when I requested a quarter sweet coffee, it was initially prepared at full sweetness. Upon requesting to remake it, my coffee was poured into an extremely oversized cup, diluted with milk, and returned to me amidst mocking laughter.
For individuals who, like myself, belong to minority communities and seek fair treatment, I would advise avoiding this location. It's disheartening to note that the same employee—a short white girl wearing glasses who works at the drive through window —was involved in each of these regrettable incidents. Read moreCame in to get a quick snack and use the restroom. I walked in and saw about 6 employees standing around talking, literally doing nothing. The restroom had trash over flowing and on the ground. I came to the counter and ordered egg bites. Was told they were all out. She also told me they were all out of tacos. I said that’s cool I’ll just take a bagel with team cheese. She said “I can give you a bagel but we are out of cream cheese” I walked a couple of door down to the market and they sell cream cheese. 6 employees doing literally nothing and not one of them thought “oh I can walk 20 feet and get some cream cheese”. Read moreThe coffee is phenomenal and the food is delicious. I will say the owner should invest in a better mobile ordering platform. As soon as I place the order it says “order is ready head to pick up.” This was my first time here so I went and asked the barista if it was ready 10 mins later and they were very frazzled and annoyed by me asking. Which I would be too as they probably get this question multiple times an hour. I would change the mobile ordering message to “Order is in progress, please wait at counter until name is called” or something a little less urgent so that baristas can work in peace and customers are not misunderstanding their status.
