Cover 3 - Anderson Lane: A Longtime Favorite for Food, Service, and Game Days
I’ve been coming to Cover 3 on Anderson Lane since I moved to Austin in 2010, and it has remained one of my favorite spots for great food, excellent service, and a top-notch game-day experience. While some of the other locations have closed, this one continues to deliver everything that has made Cover 3 a staple in Austin.
The food is consistently fantastic, with a menu that strikes the perfect balance between upscale flavors and classic comfort dishes. Whether it’s their signature burgers, the incredible chicken-fried pork chop, or their perfectly cooked steaks, every dish is thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The drink selection is equally impressive, offering craft cocktails, a solid beer selection, and a well-curated wine list.
Beyond the food, I love the overall atmosphere of Cover 3. The booths are comfortable and perfect for a relaxed meal, while the dining space is well-designed, offering a mix of casual and upscale vibes. And if you’re here for the game, you’re in luck—there are plenty of TVs, ensuring you never miss a play. Whether it’s a Longhorns game or just a night out with friends, it’s always a great place to watch sports.
The service has always been a strong point as well. The staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient, even on packed game days. They keep everything running smoothly, making sure you’re well taken care of without ever feeling rushed.
After all these years, Cover 3 on Anderson Lane continues to be one of the best spots in Austin for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and an unbeatable sports-watching setup. If you haven’t been, you’re...
Read moreI've always loved Cover3 and frequent it often since it's also just 5 minutes from my house. They have great food and service. I went today for lunch even though they had a limited menu due to everything going on, which is understandable. I had the triple play and the chicken sliders grilled which were delicious. After an hour I started having some mild 'stomach' issues. It wasn't until later in the evening that it clicked to me that I had water, which they poured from a bottle, but my glass was full of ice. Later in the evening I called to ask if they boil the water the use to make ice and they claimed they have a company that brings them ice, that allegedly comes from somewhere that doesn't need to be boiled. When I mentioned to them most of Texas is under a boil water notice, response was: Not really, like round rock does not. Lady's attitude on the phone was more being annoyed, dismissive without even saying I'm sorry you don't feel well, or even trying to find out what I ate and if anyone else that ate with me was feeling ok. I understand such issues occur with restaurants and I was not asking or trying to get anything from them, just to find out about their ice since we are under boil water notice in case they used non-boiled water and to prevent it from happening to others. Based on the attitude and the way the person on the phone handled this issue I will think really hard before I dine again at Cover3. If she was the hostess that usually answers the phone, management should have trained her how to handle such issues or call a manager. If person answering the phone was indeed the manager then...
Read moreUpdate: I am back again because I love this place. It is my most favorite Austin escape for a wonderful time either during the day or the evening or the night. The service from Eislee has been fantastic, checking on me on a regular basis, and the Manager, Jonny, has been awesome by coming over to my table and periodically checking how things are. Also Austin, a new Manager, stopped by my table too to introduce himself and to speak to me for a few minutes. I had the Allendale Salad, Matt's Chili, the House Margherita and the Key Lime Pie and they are all so delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend all out there to come check out this place. They have such a wonderful array of menu selections that should make you happy too. The atmosphere here is also unbeatable. Cover 3 Anderson Lane is just the best. My sisters and I had dinner in Warren's section of the restaurant and he was so very helpful with the menu selections and the food service. Jonathan, the Assistant General Manager, was so kind as to visit our table and chat for a few minutes. The food and drinks were so delicious. I had the Allendale Salad and it was so so good as was the House Margarita. With it being Christmastime I just loved how the restaurant was decorated. It was so festive looking. I will be back again and wholeheartedly recommend to everyone, if you want a wonderful dining experience, to come to Cover 3 - Anderson Lane. Thank you to Jonathan and Warren for making our time dining with y'all a night...
