New visit: I should have known better, but my European friend asked to have dinner at Hopdoddy and this location was the closest and what an awful experience it was. Half empty eatery, no clean tables inside, took forever to place an order while Kelsey was flirting with her male employees (and continue that behavior while we were trying to place an order with her!). Asked for fries as an appetizer, they’ve arrived after the main meal. Fries were over salted, super soggy and tasted like an old oil. Burgers were flat and unappetizing, buns were cold and smashed, lettuce was brown, onions soggy, tomato slices were unripe and all had inedible huge center chucks. Not a single person checked on us during our stay. Dispensers with the condiments were not refilled, so as the ice machine was empty. The restroom was filthy and the bar area smelled like a vomit. The dining area was not properly lit, it was very dark and uncomfortable. The team was very unfriendly.
2 month ago (reached the Corp as requested, but nobody did anything, which I didn’t expect anyway): I visit this Hopdoddy location once or twice per week, I have their “legendary status”. Today I had an absolutely awful experience - personnel was unfriendly, inattentive. They gave me the wrong table and then asked to move around twice. All three tables and all seats were dirty (sticky, greasy, full of crumbles), I had to clean the table myself since the employee didn’t show up to do his job. Johnny at the kitchen was rude to me when I asked for extra pickles, he said that I already had enough on the burger (who is talking to guests like that?!). Fries came out soggy and over salted. Burger had a burnt crust on the meat. Two condiments were out and nobody added more even after a request. Shake was very diluted and runny. Personnel didn’t make me feel welcomed or make my visit simply nice. Not recommending this location and not coming back.
Original review: Of all Hopdoddy’s in Texas, this is my family’s favorite. The location is great, the tables are always clean, personnel is super friendly and attentive, and the food is simple the best - always popping hot fries, amazingly fluffy buns (I love their gluten free bun with the millet (tried it ones for the change, and now always order it - it’s delicious!), veggies are always fresh and crisp, patties are tasty and cooked exactly the way we want it. And oh, the Nutella Shake is wonderful (sometimes their machine is down and it’s always a crisis for me, lol). I enjoy their floor to ceiling windows and not pounding music (just perfect noise level). Outside area is nice too (sometimes we travel with our pets and they love sitting next to us...

there's a bunch of places here so it's shared parking so parking is 80% in the battle especially with dragon Slayer in the corner depending on when they're having events could pick up the whole parking lot and let alone the fact that you have next door a Vietnamese Indian and multiple other little fruity places Decatur they're different people's and territories and precision just down the walking distance
The other hand this place is totally one of the best franchises I went first to run my location and I was even more impressed with this location
they keep the place spotless and clean with plenty of tables plenty of paper towels at every table Nice cushion seats TVs everywhere playing sports and super fast Wi-Fi
The customer support was absolutely phenomenal with a variety of people to make sure that accommodate the eb and flow of different people coming in and out putting in to go orders and pick up orders and eating in
also plenty of options for handicap and then the restrooms as well commands and women's with spotless or plenty of options and stalls
I got a freebie on the app to get a free shake how can they make a shake this darn good Nutella pretzel chocolate shake may very well be one of the best shakes I've ever had in my entire life I highly recommend it it's the ultimate dirty dessert to mess up your diet or just give you the calories and carbs to burn off tomorrow for your workout :)
highly recommend this place as well for the variety of burger options that will fill you up along with Fry's options and of course brussel sprouts and let me again mention this something that a lot of people don't notice franchise is great for is their variety of Brussels sprouts which I highly recommend the Parmesan truffle brussel sprouts next time you're here to share with friends and family
also plenty of beer and alcohol and options while watching your favorite sports game and also taking advantage of if you're on your healthier side your ginger homemade lemonade :)
on the burger side of a huge fan of the Diablo if you're into hot and spicy and can even do gluten free and they're gluten-free bun hit...
Read more2025 update: Went here again and ordered their new item sticky belly burger. I can see how this is either inspired by Vietnamese Banh Mi or intentionally a fusion burger. I gotta say I've had better Banh Mi style burger... The pork belly there should be marinated more and cooked a little more so it's easier to bite and doesn't overwelm the taste buds with grease. I also personally think the sauce can go a little further along the Asian flavors (i.e. spicier, more umami from soy suace/fish sauce etc.) The parmesean fries are good, but I feel like the portion has gone down since the last time I visited. The nutella shake was good on the first few sips, but it was so sweet and heavy that it coats your throat and made it impossible to continue drinking. I wish there is an option to adjust sugar level, but I know it's hard to realize that for milk shakes.
Very cute burger bar. I got the Doddy melt and Green chili queso fries. The fries are pretty good, nice and crispy. It also comes in a good portion (at least for 2 people to share). I like the flavor of the queso a lot. But the doddy melt kind of let me down. The bread was soaked with a lot of grease (I know some people do like it that way), to a point that the bottom slice of the nicely seared bread was no longer crispy. Additionally, the patties are under-seasoned. It can definitely use some more salt and spice. This place was recommended to me by a friend, so maybe I'll come back again and try some other options...
