Was excited that there was a neighborhood breakfast place where I live but unfortunately did not even get to try the food so I will not rate that. The moment we came in we were told it would be 10 mins. When another family came in they were asked if they wanted to be on the wait list but we weren’t. Ok I understand it’s busy so we go ahead and put our name. Then we asked if we could sit at the bar and were told it’s assigned seating. Ok no worries even thought there was two seats available. We waited and then were seated at the two available seats at the bar which we originally asked if we could sit there. Ok no worries the food looked good and it’s a new opening. As we sat, there was liquid in front of me, staff was making drinks and carafes in front of my face at my table which was awkward but they are busy so I’m trying to understand. We waited for about 10 mins for a person to give us water or even say “I’m sorry we are really busy, can you give me a sec”. Had that was mentioned I would’ve understood and been patient. However, an individual next to us was asked if they wanted more coffee or anything else but skipped over us entirely. So at this point we felt like we were being ignored. We decided to get up and leave and as we got up we were told “I’m sorry” by a staff member indicating they knew we were there and chose to ignore us.
I understand you’re a new place and getting the kinks fixed but I hope you understand that was a terrible experience. Please inform your customers if you’re busy and need a min, don’t give so many hats to your staff that they can’t serve their customers and I hope no one else gets treated the way we were today at your...
Read moreUpon arriving we got on the waitlist since the restaurant doesn’t do reservations or waitlist ahead of time. We were given a wait time of 30 min and ended waiting an hour. When checking to see if our table was almost ready we were told 8 more parties were ahead. We were frustrated because it was evident that they kept putting other smaller parties that arrived after us ahead, instead of trying to accommodate our larger family. She rudely said we would need to wait about 25 more minutes. We understood before going that we would have to wait because our party of 9 would not be easy to sit. But to be told 30 min wait instead of the 1.5hr they ended up telling us at the end was ridiculous. They didn’t apologize and instead responded rudely and passive aggressive said “have a nice day” when we said we were leaving. We had four small children and after waiting an hour outside in the cold we were unhappy at how we were treated. I was really excited to have a breakfast place near our neighborhood and greatly disappointed. I hope the staff is able to treat their Brand New customers a little better and are able to provide better wait times. To be honest, don’t think they hired knowledgeable hosts about restaurant etiquette. Just be kind to your clients, an “I’m sorry” would have...
Read moreMy friend and I went around 9 am on a Saturday. Pretty busy, but we were seated immediately. Food took about 25mins to come out, that’s a bit long but we understand they just opened the restaurant.
We both got small orange juices. They were good but nothing special. I got the biscuits and gravy with sunny side up eggs. It was actually so bad :( I wanted to like it, but I couldn’t even finish the meal, I hated it. The gravy tasted weird, and the biscuits tasted floury. Part of the egg whites on the eggs were uncooked so it was slimy. My friend got the oatmeal, and said it was pretty bland. She had to add maple syrup to make it tolerable.
The workers were great! Danielle and Maceo were super nice and welcoming. I definitely wouldn’t come back because of the food, but maybe the other classic dishes taste better.
Our food totaled $26 which is super reasonable for two people!
Forgot to mention, I originally asked for my eggs to be fried, but the waitress didn’t see that option. She mentioned they make their eggs 13 different ways, but no fried I guess. I settled on...
