Odd Roots Coffee — Restaurant in Buda

Let me first begin by saying that I was here the day they opened. I also want to say that I am a small business owner myself and understand what it is like to bring an idea to fruition. On day one, I knew this place was going to be a hit in the neighborhood. The neighborhood itself is lacking in places like this and I believe that Odd Roots is at the forefront of what is to come. The first day I went, the women working at the business seemed a little scrambled and rightfully so.. it was their first day but I knew they were going to get dialed in quickly. I think when you start a business, you have an idea of how things are going to work but until you are in there and doing the work, you truly don't know. Well, as it turns out, my hunch was right. They have really tightened up their ops and actually have added things to their menu at a pretty fast rate. The owner is great and I can tell she cares, even in the attention to detail on her branding. The truck looks good, the decorations look good, the branding on her cups are amazing and she has even started to sell merch. Anyways, let's talk about the coffee. The coffee is incredible and not in a way that is just the coffee. This team is working hard to put together combinations of flavors that take time to develop. You can tell there is some serious R+D going into their drinks and that they genuinely care about dishing out delicious drinks. Yes, their coffee as it stands alone is great but what this place has is somebody (owner?) who is experimenting with different drinks, lattes, matcha... etc. I have had 4 of their signature drinks and each of them is layered with flavor and even texture and I have liked them all. I have loved 2 of them but I have liked them all. go give this woman owned business a shot. You can tell they are trying hard and in a world of mediocrity that matters. They are not just slinging coffee and not caring, they are trying to make something special and it shows. Great job ladies. Seriously, keep that little train moving... you are...

Odd Roots is an absolute gem! The drinks were amazing; super tasty and crafted with care. Our clinic has a tradition of grabbing coffee every Saturday, and we were so excited to find a spot so close to the neighborhood. Safe to say, they did not disappoint!

The customer service was top-notch. The owner, Veronica, was incredibly kind and helpful, and her staff was just as delightful. You can tell they love what they do, and that positive energy really shines through.

Wanted to try out a new coffee spot and this one did not disappoint. For drinks we ordered the campfire, coconut bay matcha, and the wild berry matcha- all 10/10!
