I had a wonderful experience the first time ordering delivery from here, and was ready for the same when ordering tonight. Unfortunately, they called me 30 minutes after ordering (conveniently 15 minutes before they close) that their delivery drivers vehicle broke down and could I come get it because it’s already ready…uhm okay sure. I go to pick it up, she hands it to me and says “here it is” I was like..no “sorry about that”. No, “thank you for not cancelling” no showing me that everything’s in there… no? Okay whatever: I get it home (0.8 miles from the restaurant) and the tortillas were garbage - they literally were trash quality and I don’t know why they were provided to any customer (See photos) and the beef fajitas were cold. There is no roasted jalapeño (arguably my favorite part). The “pico de gallo” Was 4 small cubes of tomato and you don’t get salsa with your fajitas, you get “chips and salsa” that’s a half full portion cup of watery salsa with it but you don’t get salsa with the fajitas - she told me that. Not offering to add some for an extra fee or otherwise. Just being combative after I’ve had to stop painting to come pick up cold food..I asked her to reduce the tip from 20-% to 10% since there was no delivery and I had to come pick it up, she didn’t give me a receipt just said “okay!” Very unprofessional, very unimpressed. I just moved here in April and the two experiences are most definitely reflective of the people working tonight vs my first experience of hot high quality food and friendly service. This poor experience was Saturday 7/16/2022 order placed at 7:15pm.

Initially was not the best experience but I went in anyway. I had to call for them to open the door the guy was apologetic then offered for me to wait in the car because they were busy. I was the only one there and I walked over. Anywho I know he had good intentions and he apologized for the delayed opening then offered me a seat. I ordered my little meal for lunch. I wanted to get there early so that there’s no room for error when I think of fajitas I kind of think of peppers and onions. They gave me all the onions lol. Unfortunately I didn’t have many peppers. I think I have a piece of a pepper. The beans were super soupy, not a big fan of that. The rice was rice. However the chicken was well flavored & the salsa had a fire roasted taste to it which was a big Yeaaaahhhssss. I’ll take more of that any day. The chips were thin and crispy big plus there. The tortilla brought it all together but I felt like I was missing something. I didn’t finish it all but it was $15 for lunch not too bad & if you go early there’s no wait

I can’t recommend this place enough! I had Fajita Pete’s at my sisters house in Houston and was so excited to see they opened a location in Austin. It is just as good as I remember and I’d go as far as to say this is one of my favorite places to get fajitas in Austin. Their staff was incredibly nice (shoutout Sergio!) and I can’t wait to see where else they expand around Austin. They offer curbside pickup and delivery within 3 miles. I don’t believe you can dine in. Great concept and even better food! Thank you!! *Photo was taken AFTER we had already dug in! Good portion sizes.

⭐️ As a follow-up to my negative review below, the manager immediately followed and was very sorry, and informed me they had had a problem they thought was corrected with their supplier. He was very gracious and told me they would take care of my next order, which is fair. Owning a small business myself, it is important to communicate honest and direct reviews. You intention should be to not only communicate your grievances, but also give the establishment open feedback so they know what needs to be corrected. They say for every 1000 customers you will get one Google review. Again well handled, and we wish you all much success in your coming to Austin market.

Original Review:

We do carry out here about once a week. That will cease. The quality, especially of the beef, is getting worse and worse. Tonight we brought it home and had to throw 1/2 of the beef away because it was so tough. We really hope you do well, but if this continues I am most certain you will...
