G BOBS Mediterranean Grill — Restaurant in Austin

Enjoyed coming to the two times I’ve been. Today, I made an order for pickup for 1pm CST. Arrived to pick it up by 1:30pm and it was not ready yet, which was fine- I got my order, and found there was not any sauces in the bag. I politely went to the truck and asked for a tahini and chili sauce that typically comes with all orders

The owner was rude, and snapped at me telling me the sauce is in the sandwich etc and that I said it wasn’t there ( which I did not). He gave me the sauces, I said thank you and he said nothing back. Only for me to open my sandwich and find the tahini sauce was in fact NOT even on the sandwich. I enjoy patronizing small businesses who make great food and treat customers well. As a paying customer, it is not necessary to be rude , simply acknowledging my request, and being polite would have cost nothing. When you make a mistake on an order you simply fix it , NOT be rude and act as if things like sauces is coming directly from your pocket when it’s paid for. Unfortunately I will NOT be returning...

My fiance picked up the food so I'm not sure how the service was. He mentioned that the atmosphere was very family friendly since this food truck is located in the Way South food Park. The food itself was surprisingly delicious. I got the chicken kebab plate and the meat was very juicy and tender with a good amount of flavor. The rice was unremarkable but not disappointing. The garlic sauce tasted literally like minced garlic and salt, not a fan of that. The green sauce/chutney was my favorite part of the whole dish. I also got a side of hummus which was a bit bland. How to start?? We are 2 families traveling in Austin and we just left McKinley falls starving ( 5 kids 🫤) we searched on google and we found that this place was the closest to us, we decided to drive there and with all honesty we were a little skeptical so to how the place looked like…. Well we decided to stay and order and besides the fact that he was so nice to us, when we got our food (about 12 plates) we just LOVED IT!!!
