You'd think a place called Jason's Deli would have good sandwiches. Granted, this is my first time here; therefore, my first sandwich experience. However, the sandwich was so bad that I may not be back to try another one. I ordered the New York Yankee Manager's Special. The sad excuse of a sandwich had dry and rubbery meat! I'm almost certain it was microwaved by its texture. It absolutely wasn't worth the money. I'm not one to waste food so I tried eating the meat with my salad for moisture until it was too tough to bite through. So disappointed. The salad bar, on the other hand, was pretty good. With exception to the weird muffins. I thought they were vanilla and chocolate. I was so terribly wrong. I think the yellow one might've been cornbread. Might've been. I didn't attempt a second bite to save myself from more grief. All of this makes me wonder if the food is the reason why the whole place was empty when I got there. It was after 5pm, no dinner rush? I should've read the room and gone to Wingzup. If I were a lesser person, I could've asked for a refund but I'm not that guy. I mean, I didn't get mud in my fruit cup (see previous one star review) so that's a star. As for service, I was brought my sandwich but made to pickup the tray with the salad bowl. I guess there wasn't enough room on the sandwich tray. Then again, I would've had to get up to get my salad. I suppose everyone sees efficiency differently. In the end, a star for lesson learned and...
Read moreI ordered a ham sandwich on gluten free bread from the online menu. Pictures look great but no where on the menu does it tell you that if you are ordering gluten free bread you have to specify what you would like on the sandwich. Paying 10.81$ for a sandwich is a little steep but I have come to learn there is an upcharge for gluten free bread so I don’t think much about it. When I get back to my office I open the box and there is ham between two very dry very hard pieces of bread. No condiments, no pickle, no lettuce, no tomato just very hard dry bread!! I have had gluten free bread at other locations and you get a real sandwich but not here. I called to make a complaint about this “sandwich” and the manager states that well you have to specify what you want on it if you order the gluten free bread. More or less sorry bout your luck 🤬 No I am sorry for the misunderstanding, maybe we should put that on the menu, maybe we shouldn’t expect people who do not work here to know, nothing. REALLY JASONS DELI? Really... this is the very last dime I have wasted at this location. I have been to others and they are very customer service oriented but I will never step foot in the Hancock store again. My 4 other coworkers were with me and they all agreed that this location just lost 5 customers Wish there was a place to post the picture of this pathetic 10$ sandwich. I took pictures because I knew no one would believe how...
Read moreI'm in Austin for a few weeks and have been eating at all sorts of "Best X in Restaurants", spending a lot of money and getting a lot of good food but also salty and unhealthy food. So tonight I wanted something a bit more low key and healthier. I thought a french dip might be good, so I searched this on doordash and Jason't came up first. The menu has so much on it- I ordered 3 things and still had several others I wanted to try. First I got their "build your own salad". One thing I've never seen on a doordash menu is "select up to 40" -- but thats literally what it said. I picked a bunch of items to make a sort of typical salad-bar salad. They packed it all in like salad ninjas and the salad was perfectly fresh and just what I wanted. I also ordered the loaded baked potato and that thing was HUGE and very tasty. Definitely big enough for two people. And of course I got the french dip. It was delicious- and I was surprised how tender the sliced beef was. Now I've got a half sandwich and half potato left for tomorrow and I'm totally stuffed. Oh and the prices were reasonable too. I think I'll have to try a couple other things from Jason's but maybe one at a time...
