Los Buhos — Restaurant in Austin

Búhos has been a go to bar n grill for me since it opened, it was one of the very few places that stayed open during the pandemic I always feel welcomed and beer is always fresh n served cold. There’s always something to look forward to at Búhos weather it’s the DJ mixing up the great music choices (DJ BAMBINO) ( Margarito Barrera ) or the live bands or sports games on all the tv screens …. Even the live bikini contest they host every so often. On this particular day I had the molcajete which has beef,sausage,shrimp with grilled onions in a tomato salsa broth came out nice n bubbly the shrimp had a clean flavor the meat was tender and had a nice blend of pepper and sauce to taste. We also got the bistec tacos on corn tortillas with all the trimmings. Tortillas we nicely fried n oil they dibbled up on the tortillas good portion of tender meat the lime was ripe and juicy added that to the tacos for taste the green sauce could be a bit more spicy was on the bland side. The wings were a 5/10 did come at the same time as the meal and were a little cold due to timing . All around I’d give this spot a 9/10 sometime it’s packed and service gets backed up but they help each other out and make up for it I enjoy Búhos and would definitely recommend it if your out enjoying the town and like the cumbias, norteñas, banda, rock en...

Was there last night with a couple girlfriends and guy friends. We started at the bar and took for ever to get 3 beers and one cocktail while the bartender was giving shots to the guys next to us after they had gotten there after us 🙄 and we had already ordered them! We decide to go to a table...🤦🏻‍♀️ Never , not once did a waiter come by to check on us!!! We had to go ask for drinks at the bar which again took for ever . So then we send one of the guys and they get served quick! But ... they leave the drinks at the bar unattended after the girl said she’d bring them to the table ... once again we need drinks😑 No one comes by... but all the other tables are being waiter on 😡 so my friend decides to go talk to the bar tender asking why are we being neglected... her response is “ I’m wondering the same question “ She immediately sends someone over and gets drinks for us... Then you once again we need drink 🙄😑 nada!!!! My friend finally tells the waiter why is this happening.. she says she’ll take care of her 🤣 finally takes us drinks again ... come to ask for our tab 😑 and she doesn’t know where it went 🤦🏻‍♀️

Stopped by for a quicc drink with a friend. It is a great Mexican bar, sadly that's all it is, the food here is of equal quality that you can expect from a tv dinner or lesser quality. Waitresses seem eh bartender was the one moving around the most, our waitress came by 2 times in a matter of 2 hrs when the place was far from being busy. No customer service whatsoever, with the quality of food served here they should at least have peanuts or chips to snacc on wether it be for sale of complimentary but they domt even have that. If I was to return here I will make sure I am fed and that I am buying 6 buccets at a time to not have to worry about the same waitress lacc of service. They do have a great atmosphere and...
