far and away the best fruteria I've found in Austin, though there are a few newer ones still on my list to try. Michoacana's paletas are worth bypassing other venues closer to home - especially with hard to find flavors like mamey. They do a great job of the essentials as well - delicious elote cups with all the fixings, tall pours of aguas frescas, and fresh tasty fruit.

They gave me corn that had been stewing in a crockpot, most likely canned corn. They served it to me in a bowl. I basically got corn chowder. Exaggerated, but I was shocked by this weird corn soup hybrid (very watery). The palettas also didn't taste like the on brand flavor I'm used to.
