far and away the best fruteria I've found in Austin, though there are a few newer ones still on my list to try. Michoacana's paletas are worth bypassing other venues closer to home - especially with hard to find flavors like mamey. They do a great job of the essentials as well - delicious elote cups with all the fixings, tall pours of aguas frescas, and fresh tasty fruit.

Some dishes can be very spicy to the unfamiliar palate, so be careful before blindly choosing off the menu - but there are plenty of sweet and savory options available, so no one in the family should have a problem finding...

This place is AMAZING, really GREAT PEOPLE. If your looking for a to come enjoy some ice cream with family or friends, well let me tell you this is the SPOT. What I saw today really AMAZE ME because not every owner does this to help out with people with disability, the owner of this place made sure this MAN was attend, made sure he was ok every time while we were there. Went for some elote (corn) and palettas (ice cream) since I was knew to Austin and am familiar with La Michoacana brand. Disgusting! They gave me corn that had been stewing in a crockpot, most likely canned corn. They served it to me in a bowl. I basically got corn chowder. Exaggerated, but I was shocked by this weird corn soup hybrid (very watery). The palettas also didn't taste like the on brand flavor I'm used to. Idk if they were stale or were another brand all together. I don't recommend coming here if you're looking for authentic...
