Overall, a solid burger place. Atmosphere: Poor to fair, on par with that of a family-owned mom-n-pop startup. Using standard sysco restaurant supplies, basic paint/drywall, some of which needs repair, ex: poor patch job and large section of trim missing, basic vinyl tile floor, etc. Service: Good. They were slow but it was the lunch hour and they had three people running the entire operation. It took about 15 minutes to receive my order, however, I noticed that the cooks turn into order takers and/or food runners as needed so it is nice to see that they are trying. Food: Pretty good mushroom and swiss burger and fries. The burger was cooked medium, probably because they were in a rush, but that's okay by me to eat a pink burger. The bun reminded me of a giant dinner roll. White bread in a domed square shape, overly sweet. The fries are coated and seasoned for that extra crunch. I could taste a hint of old/rancid oil on the fries so I hope they are changing it regularly and filtering it as they are supposed to. Cleanup: I believe the staff bus your table because I didn't see any trash/tray stations and the cashier was busing tables as I ate. Price: My total was $7.99 out the door which beats Mighty Fine and Five Guy's price, more in the range of Culvers. Closing thoughts: I'd probably try Moonie's again, but I might try out one of the other locations since this location isn't very inviting and I am slightly concerned about...
Read moreObjective observation: the owner of this joint might have changed. I've had Moonie's Burger in Cedar Park, it was legit. This location seems to be bought by an Asian family. I think they are still learning how to cook burgers and how to run a business. We came in on a Friday on lunch time. It was busy but not crazy busy. We ordered a Hawaiian burger and a Fried Chicken sandwich. Took 13-15 mins to get the burgers. There were a few customers before me. I was surprised by a couple things: 1. This place also sells Poke and Sushi (sign of Asian ownership); 2. surprised to see my Hawaiian burger ONLY had the patty and pineapple between the bun (and sauce). No veggies at all. Also the chicken one, fried chicken was not 100% cooked, this is a bit concerning. The lady cashier is a Korean grandma who's trying her best to speak English but even though I'm Asian I had a bit difficulty understanding her when she asked us which type of the fried chicken do we want. It sounds like she tried to tell us there's a spicy type and a strip type? We went with whatever. And the stripes were undercooked, prob not fried long enough. Weight wise both burgers are very good portions, if cooked properly this could be a very satisfying meal. The buns were great too. I think they...

Blink and youâll miss this North Austin burger joint. Moonieâs Burger House is serving up good old fashioned burgers, fried, and shakes in a no frills setting. The food is served up quick and is pretty straightforward for American fare.
We ordered the classic and California burgers with a side of fried and a chocolate shake. The burgers are very run of the mill. The buns are nice and toasted, the burger lacks a bit of juice and flavor but the toppings provide some flavor to compensate. The real hit of the meal were the fried which had a nice crisp and flavor to them. We turned to the chocolate shake to wash it all down and were not disappointed.
The bottom line is Moonieâs is a solid burger joint that will fill that craving you have but may not be for everyone. Itâs good not great fare but is worth a stop if youâre...
