Subway — Restaurant in Austin

I try real hard to give a place a chance, and so I did twice with this Subway. Let's start with the employees. Many of the employees had numerous tattoos that were large, on their necks, face and visible. It seems to me this wouldn't be the image that subway would want their employees to portray. Next three of the employees had either their cell phone out and using it or had hands free devices around their neck and in their ears. Now onto the service and food. I heard the guy in front of me order the chicken bacon ranch and the tatted employee said that comes with double cheese to which he responded he wanted the shredded cheddar. After the tatted employee put the cheese on his sandwich he asked her if she put double cheese on the sandwich and she looked like he was bothering and reluctantly put more cheese on the sandwich. She actually told him next time it would cost him. I ordered my sandwich and proceeded to the guy with the tattoo on his face and the girl with tattoos on her arms, neck and ears. They were somewhat helpful even though he mumbled and I couldn't really hear him. Then I went to check out and was helped by this red head lady. She seemed out of it and just generally aloof.

Do not go to this subway, which I am now dubbing Thug-Way because that is the impression I got from the people that worked there. They don't wear hair nets and never change...

The food is good but the service here is horrible. Ive been here 3 times and it will be the last time. I got treated poorly the lady working here. First I told her what bread I wanted...she treated me like a foreigner and started speaking to me in spanish. I would ask how much would a meal cost with drinks and chips...got charged seperatly per item. I'm not sure what happened that day with the two people working there but they made me feel extremely uncomfortable. While I was paying...the lady told the cashier "wait she's still here?" I felt offended and pretty much rushed out of the facility. I even apologized but the discrimation and horrible feeling by being singled out there....

I visited this subway for the first time today and the restraunt was pretty clean, the employees were friendly, and the quality of ingredients were fresh. I was told that this location can get VERY busy during lunch time so please have a little patience with its employees as they can only do their best with what they have. For example one of their toaster ovens was broken today so things were moving kind of slow but, despite so of the rude comments from other customers they all kept smiling and tried to make the best out of a rough day. Note that I was told this location no longer serves cucumbers...
