I wanted to say that we started this process in February 2023 and were originally supposed to work with Olivia, however, she didn’t have the time and passed us along to Michael Willis. We had a good experience with him for the most part besides some forgetfulness and some misleading statements that costed us in the end. It’s unfortunate. Then when we moved along to the construction part, we were mistreated with all words and no actions. Our house was supposedly ready in September but was not even up to Palm Harbor “factory” standards but they still allowed us to move in. Then they continuously apologize and make empty promises. Our house is still not finished and we’ve lived here for over 5 months now. They don’t call us back like they say they will. They tell us they will be at our house for appointments to work on the construction then no call and no show. I’ve continued to contact them and again more apologies and empty promises. People that say they will call me back on a certain day don’t do so. I can’t say it enough, choose someone else or you will be in our same boat. We still have a quartz island countertop that we didn’t choose the color of that was installed without our knowledge because we waited to choose the color from Michael Willis and he never got back to me on that had a giant knick in and they still don’t have an ETA on our new one. Our shower tiles were all uneven and done horribly. They said they would replace them and still haven’t. When they came in to do the kitchen backsplash again, they chipped all my countertops because they didn’t cover them during demo. They left red tape all over my house and said they wouldn’t fix all the mistakes because not only were there too many but they wouldn’t get paid to fix it. If it weren't for Will Gayden I wouldn't have survived this whole process and probably thrown in the towel right away. Because who shows up to go house shopping with 2 kids under 2. We did, and he was a champ! He was beyond patient, so kind and sweet to my girls. The home buying process is stressful enough. We would have not proceeded and would of never got into our forever home if it weren't for him. He truly saved me and got us through this whole process. From tearing down one old to helping me pick out and build or forever home. From the picking out, getting built, and all the colors exactly to exactly what I wanted all the way down to the kitchen sink. Very important part right there. Then getting us into our forever home through finance and all the way to closing. With out him, we wouldn't of continued the process he was there every step of the way. For every issue , hiccup he listened to things and provided advice and encouragement in areas where he had no control over and things way above his head. Especially things that had nothing to do with the sale. If he couldn't fix it, he found someone who could or make it right. Thanks to him for getting me through this process from start to finish and the rest of the team at Palm harbor in Austin. Especially Kwes who's behind the scenes coordinating delivery, trim out, contractors. These are unsung heros. Thanks to ya, We got to spend our first holidays in our forever home with our girls and family. And you will always be apart of our story on how we got here. My wife and I went to Palm harbor to see if there were alternatives to building a home. We had been looking to build for over 2 years and had found property to build on. However with the influx of people into the Austin area the cost to build quickly got out of our affordability range and we needed to see what other options we had. We met with Matt and he was able to help us with our dilemma. He listened to what we were looking for and then assisted us to find a home with the options and land that suited our needs at the price point we could afford. He answered all our questions and never pressured us in any way to make a decision right away. After deciding to look further in the quality of the company he took us to the manufacturing floor and went thru the whole construction process and answered all our questions to ensure we knew that we were getting a quality home. The quality of the materials and the way Palm harbor builds homes is outstanding and from all I have seen is in some way better than a site build house we were looking at building prior to looking at Palm Harbor. Every time we had questions Matt went out of his way to answer us quickly and accurately. He assisted us with financing and whenever things stumbled along with the finance company Matt was able to keep things on track and ensured we were taken care of. So far the process has been great and except for the weather delaying some things we are very happy with the service and quality of what we are buying.
