Althought the Al Pastor tacos are made with a non-traditional stewed pork, they are still my favorite here. They taste great and are very generous with the portioning. The Al Pastor is what keeps me comming back every week.
The barbacoa tacos are more traditional and pretty good. A little greasy but about what you'd expect from barbacoa.
The mole chicken tacos are good but not great. Sometimes the chicken is way too dry/overcooked.
The grilled steak tacos are not so great. Greasy and overcooked, charred, crunchy meat. I tried them twice and both times I threw away most of the steak taco. Maybe you'll like them if you like you beef well done and on the charred side.
The one time I got breakfest tacos, the potatoes were way too raw and unseasoned.
Service is generally good, although sometimes I have had to wait 30+ minutes longer than my estimated time pick-up time during weekday lunch hour.
I used to love it when this place took online orders up to 10 or 11pm. Now they only accept online orders until 3pm. I wish it were open late again as they were the only late night option in the neighborhood.
Radio Cafe knows how to set a great atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating, shade structures, misters, and wonderful landscaping vegetation. They even have a cowboy pool now! Indoors seating fills up quick when it's...

Read moreStarting with the good: The location is fantastic, it's at the new Radio Coffee East and the vibes are great and parking is plentiful.
On to the bad: The way the menu is laid out makes it appear there is both regular queso AND a vegan queso option. It turns they ONLY offer vegan queso (aka cashew sauce), and I'm severely allergic cashews (anaphylactic reaction), so this turned out to be a very unfortunate and serious accident which sent me to urgent care.
Please be aware Veracruz ONLY offers vegan queso which does contain nuts. Can confirm it looks and tastes just like regular queso (definitely a great option for vegans who don't have nut allergies!!), but don't be fooled if you have a nut allergy. The container it comes in is NOT labeled as vegan or containing nuts so please watch out if someone orders it for you. And again, the way their menu is laid out, it looks like there's a vegan option and regular option, but there is only vegan cashew sauce here. The staff working at the time also did not know what a cashew was, so don't trust them to inform you of any allergen...
