This trip was a mixed bag for us. The Queso Picadillo was excellent. We all enjoyed it a lot. My Cheeseburger was very good. Flavorful and fresh. The tater tots were hot and crisp. My daughter had Emily's Pan-Roast Chicken and it was a disappointment. The portions, especially the chicken, were very small. The potatoes were bland. Only the Bacon Green Beans were a standout. My wife had the Chicken Fried Chicken sandwich. The sandwich itself was very good, but the fries were cold, greasy and felt liked they'd been cooked much earlier in the day. She ordered some Buffalo Sauce to go on it (instead of the Honey Mustard that usually comes with it). This is a personal taste preference, but it had an odd Bar-B-Que sauce flavor mixed in. Definitely not to our taste. But perhaps worst off all was the service. This had happened to us the last time we visited but we'd hoped it was a fluke. We seated ourselves and our server was fine when she came around, but it took SO LONG for everything to come out. From taking our drink and appetizer order, to refilling drinks, to bringing entrees and checking on us, to bringing the check. Everything felt like it took twice as long as needed to get any attention. And the layout of the dining area made it hard to try to flag anyone down. As much as I enjoyed my food, I think this may be our last trip.

I had the fish sliders plate. It left a little to be desired. The fish nuggets were teeny tiny and half the size of the slider bun. Unfortunately they were overcooked, leaving them crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside. The flavor of the slider was awesome though. The coleslaw inside was really tasty. Unfortunately the plate came with only the sliders. I was told this so I should have ordered a side 🥺. A side of tater tots! One of my companions had tater tots and it was a huge serving and she rated them fantastic 😍. Out of 7 people and 7 orders, mine was the only one that was a little less than desired. The burgers are huge, and very tasty. 3 of our party ordered burgers, 2 of those sharing 1 burger!🤩🤩🤩 As are the chicken tacos? My sister ordered them and she ate leftovers for 2 days. She can only eat a tiny amount at a time, but they came with 4 quarter slices of melted cheese and chicken. Too spicy for me, but she loved them. 🤩. The remaining person ordered the fish plate. He ate it all and the fries, and seemed happy although I did not get his opinion. The waiter was very good. Friendly and efficient. We are outside on a picnic table. It was very pleasant. The restroom was clean and pretty.

Edit 08/06/2021: I really don't like what covid19 has done to the restaurant industry so I decided to give this place another try. Glad I did. The food was really good.

Tried their wings again and was pleasantly surprised. Their stuffed jalapenos, steak fingers and catfish bites are really good too. Just a note, I went once a week, 4 weeks in a row, and each time the food was good. Very good hit rate.

The service behind the bar is very efficient. Even when they're busy, I don't wait long before being waited on.

They also have a couple of decent craft beers on tap.

Never did contact the person that responded to my original review so this edit is not based on receiving any freebies. Also, I think the response was very professional.

Keep up the good work.

Old review: Review is based on take out at the bar.

Ordered wings for take out and a beer while waiting. Happened to be 75 cent wing night but due to the order being "take out", the discount was not applied. This is fully understandable. Bad thing is the wings were not fresh since they were made in advance to accommodate the happy hour price. The order was complete in about 3 minutes. If you charge $25 for 20 wings, you need to make them fresh. Simple solution - separate take out orders from happy hour orders.

Service (at the bar), while attentive, was really not that friendly.

Last but not least, they charged a 7% "take out" fee. And, I did not notice until doing the math at home, they not only charged the 7% on the wings, they charged it on the beer I drank in the bar - what the… Actually, the receipt stated 7% but the amount was a little more than 7% the subtotal. Guess their software is screwed up.

Since I left a tip (in addition to the 7%), I also give myself 1-star for...

I would give this restauraunt zero stars if I could. My husband and I waited an hour for a table on the patio tonight. The patio seating is not first come first serve, you need to put your name in with the hostess. We watched multiple people just walk in and seat themselves and were served by the waiters, all while we continued to wait for a table since we were actually on the wait list. When we brought it to the restaurants attention, the hostess said “I’m sorry, some people just don’t listen. But they already had ordered drinks so there wasn’t anything I could do at that point”. After my husband spoke to the manager, he said sorry and that it shouldn’t have happened. We expected them to maybe compensate even just our appetizer or a small token for this extremely inconvenient matter. Nothing was comped, and no repercussions were had on the tables that just sat themselves and stole tables from us as well as other people on the wait list. The manager never even checked back in once we were sat to make sure we were taken care of and if everything was okay. Extremely poorly run. A small token to rectify the situation and make the customer feel better would have gone a long way. There were also about 30 kids screaming and running all throughout the entire patio inbetween tables, kicking soccer balls, just absolute chaos. The drinks were awful and the food was mediocre, so it wasn’t even worth all the trouble. Overall we will not...
