Fat Mike's Texas Weiners — Restaurant in Back Mountain

Okay, I'll start with a positive. The shack seems to be a cool place to grab something fast to eat. Their customer service was a 10++!! Here's where it gets real and I'm wondering if there's two different spots with same name and we went to other one? A 4.9 rating? NOT based on what we received. The hot dog buns were stale, the hot dogs look like they were microwaved to the point that they were wrinkled, they literally had a piece of processed American cheese wrapped around them not even melted, the wiener sauce and the Texas cheeseburger sauce was bland, and the hamburger on the Texas cheeseburger was store-bought frozen. Absolutely nothing that would warrant a 4.9 rating...

It’s a little shack but has a gigantic menu. I wanted to order everything but settled on the bratwurst sandwich, chili fries, and potato pancakes. Everything was delicious and well prepared. The portions were big too.

The Big Dog may have been the best hot dog I’ve ever eaten. Cooked perfectly, with a smoky and juicy flavor. All of the add-ons made it that much better.

A must stop if you’re anywhere...

Fat Mike's will never get accolades for being a culinary destination to go. It is a very simple eatery. The menu on the wall is simple; dogs, dogs, burgers and pulled pork. Bottled water be cams of soda. The 'dining' area consists of a mix of old (really old) tables and chairs, along with some other stuff akin to a storage unit.
