Fatburger & Buffalo's Express — Restaurant in Baker

First time here. 6/14/23 4:40pm Took my time looking at menu out of the way. Looked at other options in the food court also. Once made up my mind came to counter to order. Started to order Kingburger and went through the toppings. I was ask if I wanted combo or burger. I chose combo be because he said it come with fries and drink. Then he ask me fat or skinny fries. I said I’m not sure what usually comes with the combo. He say either, so I asked what was the difference. If one is homemade or other from bag frozen. He rolled his eyes and started huffing and puffing. He said they are both fries sir. I said I apologize because I can tell you’re frustrated at me for asking you that question. I said I just never been here before so once again I apologize. He said okay what u want. I said I apologized. Basically he just ignored my apology that he didn’t deserve in the beginning. Visited Fatburger while stopping for lunch on way back to LA from Vegas. My LA friend says he lives Fatburger and rates them one of the best. He routinely rates them a 7 out of 10. He gave this one a 6.5 Since this is essentially at a gas station with KFC and a pizza place. My opinion: this is my first Fatburger and I lived it. Very good presentation. The burger didn't disintegrate. It was a little juicy: I got the XXL (two beef burgers in one bun) no cheese but with everything else included. Onion rings and fries. Soft drink is (as expected) bottomless. All in this cost me about $27 ($40 in total with my friend only getting a XXL with cheese). I would definitely recommend their burger. We lived in 90210 for 7 years (1995-2002) and FATBURGER was my favorite fast food. Returning from a road trip to Las Vegas last week, we stopped for lunch in Baker. I was delighted to find an XXL FATBURGER and CHILI-CHEESE SKINNY FRIES, my favorites from the old days!

The food was cooked fresh when I ordered and the flavors were fantastic.

The staff on duty was patient with my out-of-date ordering and accommodated my wife's non-standard desire to fill her personal traveling cup with ice and a fountain beverage at a fair price.

We live in the SF Bay Area now and the nearest FATBURGER is 42 miles away! I miss the old days!
