It's been a while since my last survey, and service has taken a U-turn. For the last 5 days, I am there every morning for the $2 breakfast sandwich and small coffee. Every morning I am surveying behaviors, and calculating quality comparison from one store to the next. For this store, located in Baker, LA on Main St., I watched each day as there were 3 or more employees at the window bumping into each other, looking confused and could never grab the correct order. In all fairness, the other half of my survey joined me, but in a different car and further back in line. The first day, my McGriddle was less than medium temperature, but was cold by the time I arrived home, which is about 2 blocks from the store. The very cold coffee creamers were thrown in the bag on top of what may have started out as a hot breakfast sandwich. Okay, I will just reheat. My second surveyor had the same experience. Now what if we were heading to work and not home and wanted a hot bite on the way? Not happening!! Day 2, I requested for the creamers to be placed in a different bag, away from the sandwich. The request never made it to the window, but there were 4 bodies bumping around at the window made for one. I knew my request was not filled, because I only received one bag. And there ya go!! Maybe the breakfast sandwiches are actually supposed to be served at room temperature, so it's a cardinal rule to throw those ice cold creamers on top of the sandwich so it's cold no matter how long you have to drive, or if you bust that wrapper to eat it right then, it's assured to be cold. Day 3, there was one lady at the window, and whaddya know, she automatically put the creamers in a different bag without having to be asked to do it. "I'll take the worker at the window on Day 3 for $500, Steve." Day 4 was the same as Days 1&2 for both of us. Now, on Day5, I figured, okay, there is a reason these people are here at minimum wage, they are earning every bit of it, and don't deserve a penny more (all except Day 3 worker). My bag was handed out to me with the creamers in a plastice bag on top of the sandwich. I held it outside the window and reiterated my usual request (you think they got it after a week? We drive the same cars everyday (sigh) maybe not, OBVIOUSLY not.) Everybody (all 4 hourly workers) froze!! One asked the other what was said, and she repeated, "She said she asked for her creamers in a different bag...." Wow, was one of these Mickey-D Chick-a-D's the manager? The other 2 ladies quickly disappeared from the window crowd. I imagine they were thinking, "Don't put me in that." That request was just too much for them. Anyway, with an attitude, she removed the creamers that were just on the verge of freezing (or maybe just taken from the freezer and thawing out?) and proceeded to place in different bag. I told her, "Well, but now my sandwich is cold. Can I get hot food?" They stood there staring like they didn't know what to do. Then one of them took the initiative. "She say her food is cold and she want another sandwich." Maybe the Shift leader (???) says, "They are not cold, they room temperature." I held the bag up and asked did they not know the difference between room temperature and freezing items or thawing items. I sat, and they stared. I sat, and they stared. Well, drive thru is now backing up, just get her some hot food would ya??? I sat and they stared. Silly little birds, you'll never make any more than what you do and you are right where you need to be.If you can't type on anything but McDonald's touch screen, and you don't know the difference between a hot and cold item, you're not going far. But for us that visit every morning, engaging in that self torture ritual, we have to go far. We have to go to a real job and make real money, and because we are short on time, we settle for not-so-real food. "I'll take, 'Get up early and make my own damned breakfast for...
Read moreI got sick at this place after asking them if it was fresh because last time, I swear to you they had given me a morning burger after 7pm because. Idk but the burger was cold hard edges on cheese and the lower bun was so crispy, it broke in 3 pieces getting it and unwrapping it. Never once had that experience. EVER But I got food poisoning that night about 3 in the morning throwing up and for the next 3 days I could not down anything went to e.r. and they rushed fluids and a Nausea medication, that stuff is amazing zophran I think is how you spell it. And instructed me to take my already prescribed medication that I had for symptoms that I had from last ostomy surgery, I truely feel like these guys did sumthing to my food overhearing the order details over radio headset, they need to be mote professional and lucky I didn't press charges and have that burger sent in fir tests.
I don't think food preparers should have a headset linked to the same channel as the teller or at least, not able to here the complaint so that they can retaliate. I should have called the police and put it on record after seeing what they handed me. I'm a very unpicky guy, so if I were you I would say be careful eating any place in the hood black or not, nobody cares about you or your experience, your just another body that gets them a check at the end of the day. No morals. And management is sad for this location. This job is not what I would call a lifetime job this is a job for students but you have grown adults hating life that can't get a better job because they can't do anything else with there life, they like to paint a picture of a hopeful future but the fact is, McDonald's is not a future you want. If your working here, put your efforts into yourself and how you treat others and lessen the gifts of hatred you put out in the world, seek a better job. If you continue this route to never be happy. Think in the present, Think better, so you can become greatness in your future. Nobody is perfect but for now, I'm still giving this place an honest review of 1 star. I'll give it another attempt some day to change that. But I don't want to die...
Read moreWarning!!! Go here at your own risk. So today I decided to go to McDonald’s for lunch with my coworkers. When we got there the line was kinda long but we had time. We waited about 13 mins in line to get to the speaker. We placed our order and we had to repeat the order 3.5 times before we thought we had it straight. The order we place was menu items and three people all on one ticket to keep it simple, wrong. Got to the window and the order was all wrong and they forgot to charge us for the third drink. So I parked and headed inside to purchase another drink, mask on and all. I waited and waited at the counter and employees walked right past totally ignoring me. I stood there for about 5 mins until I spoke up and got the managers attention. I asked if I could purchase a drink and she told me to go back through the drive thru or order on the app and pick it up. The drive thru line was, at this time, to the road. So I just walked out discussed I didn’t say a word I just drove to the gas station next door and bought me a coke. I don’t know what’s the problem because lately the employees or management have seemed like they have changed. In the past they always had excellent speed and great service, it’s totally a shame. So heed my warning and go to another McDonald’s, I mean there’s one around every corner. Trust me you don’t want to deal with the hassle that...
