El Patio Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Live in Orange County but often visits Bakersfield. A friend recommended the restaurant so my daughter and I tried it for the first time last weekend! Had high expectations but when I tasted the special of the day, I was totally shocked at how delicious the food was! I had the fish fillet with shrimps and clams . We love El Patio!! We have been eating here since they opened, about 15 years ago. Very professional, courteous and caring staff. We love to eat here at least once a week if not more. The food is delicious and fresh, always hot and the margaritas are the best! The owner Javier is very nice and always makes you feel welcome, Sammy and Oscar are great also. Came on a Friday night food and service was decent. I brought my mother who is disabled the next day. 1st issue: My mom used the bathroom and while in the stall the lights cut off and left her in the dark she had to use a flashlight to navigate out safely. The chips were hard and stale. She ordered the Carne asada dinner and was very unhappy meat was tough and over cooked. She spoke with the manager and he was rude and un accommodating.
