Panaderia Romo — Restaurant in Balch Springs

Been going to this bakery for more than 10 yrs. Always making the cakes the way I want them; pretty much plain and no other than HBday or a drawing. Well; today was way different. Forgot to order a cake in advance; my bad, so we went this morning and ask the attendant if they could make a drawing; she said no, way to busy to draw an emoticon, I understand, then I asked is she could take the blue borders and write HBday and the name on it. She went to the back and came back saying that the lady was way to busy to do so. What in the world!! Is she needs more than 5 min to write it and remove the decoration she is not doing the job right. So dissappointed and sad that the owners; who are the best by the way, has employees like these. Thanks for the delicious cakes...

We’ve been loyal costumers for the last 2 1/2 years and I honestly don’t think we will ever go anywhere else! Every time people try the cake they have nothing but good things to say and my kids absolutely love it. We recently ordered our 4 year olds cake just the way he asked for it and he devoured it! Vanilla with mixed fruit and infused with orange simple syrup. It was so so so good, they literally never disappoint! Not only are their cakes delicious but so is the pan dulce, tamales, and barbacoa. Also customer service is 💯, the people here are so sweet and kind every time we call to place an order or go in to get some bread they’re super accommodating and nice.

This bakery USED to be good way back when the actual owners used to be in the front line. Then they put their kids out front and added a logo and that’s when everything went SOUTH. The bread is hard as a rock, not enough filling and the customer service is not consistent all across the board. The son of the owners is over the top nice but the rest of the staff are NOT.

ChicFilA has consistent good customer service all across at every location and that’s why there’s always a long line. But inconsistency really harms a business.

I must say the only thing I go for now are the tamales. Those are hands down delicious.
