Smith Donuts — Restaurant in Balch Springs

Update: I left this situation alone. The lady who I believe owns or is manager has called me and threatened me with legal action if I did not take down my review. Then hung up on me when I was again trying to explain. She keeps trying to make me feel dumb by saying I did not go there to get donuts when in fact me and my daughter walked in and said hi to this lady. She is also saying she checked the security cameras and that I'm a liar and so much other stuff. Very unprofessional. Also I just checked and they have me a full refund that was put in today, very convenient I would say. Lady has called me more than twice, now I feel like I'm being harassed for voicing I felt someone stole from me.

This was our go to place for donuts, but the last time i went i got charged double. I ended up paying $32 for a dozen donuts, they changed the amount after the transaction was done pending, so I had no idea. I went back to try to talk to the lady who works there but she stated that they never charged me and called me a liar. She kept interrupting me and saying i was in the wrong. I had to file a complaint with my card company and am waiting to try to get a refund for the amount that was charged since they have no records of my transaction. I will not be going back. Donuts are always fresh. I go here on occasion when I get the craving for fatty, sugary, carbohydrates. Maple, chocolate, blueberry, glazed and buttermilk donuts are all my favorites. Since the maple donuts are some of the least popular, sometimes they aren't ready. This isn't a bad thing, if you wait you get this ridiculously warm, soft, pillowy donut that is swimming in glaze. Their jalapeño and cheese kolaches are the best! They’re always fresh and tasty. I also love the sweet woman who greets you. She’s always so positive, gives great customer service, and makes me feel welcomed. If I’m feeling “meh”, i always leave with a smile or feeling more positive because of her customer service. I moved a few miles away and have another donut shop closer but after tasting their stale, cold, and overly priced kolache, I just leave work a little earlier on Fridays to stop here instead. Hands...
