Great Taste Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Baltimore

This low rating is Ridiculous! This is some of the best I’ve had I the city limits, and I mean that from ove the years. I’m actually mad about the low rating, because I live close and avoided it.

And one day, I’m happy I changed my mind! I consistently go for their wontons in hot sauce (so good), their Signipore Curry Noodles, Sum Gum Wonton Soup. They do the wonton/egg drop for $1 more (or so, ask them….).

This fool, 😂 saying, “I’ve been to Beijing now, so…” Yeah, that’s like saying that pizza doesn’t taste like Rome’s pasta, or Brooklyn, NYC pizza! Also. Like. I’m sure their are bad places to eat in Beijing. 😂🤷🏻‍♂️❤️. I’m sure their Philly Cheesesteaks don’t taste like their from South St.. (Look, I’m a big boy, I know my food! 😂)

And how are reviews from 8 years ago relevant??? How does this place have a 3.9.

This is awesome. The food is on point. I only have seen the super nice, quiet mannered lady w working the counter, and a gentleman behind her working in the kitchen with her. Whoever this person they complained about no longer works there. I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences and it seems most people I see in there at the same. These are nice people and they deserve to be told so.

The food is quality, fresh, I haven’t had anything in the menu I didn’t like. I love to cook, so I don’t eat out much. And even with that, I probably stopped here 2-3 times a month, which is a lot for me eating out.

I don’t even write a lot of reviews. But these folk deserve a 4.5 rating. They deserve the success of their hard work and quality service.

And I rally love their cheesesteak egg rolls! Can’t forget about them!

I've been ordering from here since 2002 and hands down, it is THE BEST Chinese food in MD!! And that's saying something because I am very picky about food. The owners have been the same for all these years. I drive 20 minutes each way just to pick up dinner. The food is always fresh and piping hot! From their egg rolls and BBQ Spare Ribs, the Subgum Wanton Soup (Ground Pork filled Wantons, Pork strips, Chicken and Shrimp with a variety of vegetables in yummy chicken broth...fantastic on chilly nights), to my favorite sweet and savory Beef with Garlic Sauce, Sweet & Sour dishes, Shrimp in Lobster Sauce and very flavorful Fried Rice (several varieties) or ANY entree for that matter, everything is always SO delicious and they are very generous with their portions! Prices are competitive and reasonable. I love this place and hope they will be around for years...

I used to think it was an OK place, not better or worse than other takeaway Chinese restaurants. Then I spent a week in Beijing, China. I loved the food I got in Beijing (usually from a hole in the wall place) and was thinking I could never go back to any regular Chinese place here in America. As with all foreign eateries, they change the food to accommodate the American taste.

Then I went back to Great Taste and tried dishes other than my usual General Tso or chicken & broccoli. I was happy to find they cook much like the food I got in Beijing. I'm a happy customer.
