So I typically only order from this place out of convenience. The pizza is ok and the service in store is usually ok. However their delivery people make you not want to order food from there. On multiple occasions the delivery men have made discomforting comments while delivering the food. Because of this, when my sister order her pizza she asked me to walk out with her. The driver pulled up while my sister was looking for her shoes so to keep the delivery guy from waiting I walked down alone. (They don't deliver to your door in the hood, for safety I guess. No biggie) When I got to his car my sister was walking down the steps and the driver said "you want her to come too?" This is after saying "mmm, sweet voice" to her when he called to tell us he was pulling up. I disregarded his comment about her and confirmed the order with him. Mind you, I'm talking to him through the car window because he didn't step out. He then said he won't give us the pizza until I gave him the money. I pulled the money out of my pocket and waiting for him to give my sister our food. He refused. He wanted me to hand him the money before even making an attempt to give us the food. This entire exchange was sketchy and uncomfortable. The mere fact that he didn't get out of the car was annoying in itself. I've lived in the hood my entire life and although food deliveries are never brought to the door, they at least step out of the car and don't try to hand it to you through the window. Might I add it was 7:30pm so it was still light outside. Any other time we've order food the delivery person handed the food to one person while the other paid them. I literally had the money in my hand but I wanted to see our food (make sure the order was right and the food looked ok, ya know?) Nope. The guy was rude and said "do you want the food or not? If so give me the money." Even when I pick up the pizza they let me look at it before I walk out. We told him he could take the pizza and called the store to speak to the manager. Apparently management saw not her wrong with a driver being rude and creepy to customers. This guy didn't even stick his hand out of the car. I'm not reaching my hand in your car to pay for food I haven't even seen. Yeah. I'm cool. There are other pizza places that don't give off...
Read moreAround 6:30pm I decided not to cook and order the kids some pizza. So I order from Pizza Boli's. I call to place my order and a lady answer the phone and told me to please hold which I only had to wait about 15-20 seconds no biggie. When she got back on the phone she took my order and everything was going gd. I told her I wanted to pay with a debit card and give her my info, which she said had declined so she did it again. Second time I read the card slower for her to understand and she told me it had declined again. Third time she did it she told me that the card had approve and my food will take 45 minutes to deliver. 50 minutes went by n I get a call from pizza boli's, me thinking that they outside with my order n rush to the door. Nope it's the lady calling me saying my card didn't go through. How my card didn't go through you told me it did. She saids ma it didn't n you need to use another card. So I said I use this card twice today and didn't have no problems with this card. So I had to call my bank to find out what's goin on with my card. The bank told me that a transaction was declined 3 times from pizza bolis because that security code was enter in wrong 1 time then the zip code was enter in wrong twice so they frozen the account. So after the bank unfrozen my account, I ended up calling pizza bolis back and put my order in and just pick it up myself. Now it's 8.46pm when I got to Pizza Boli's. My food was nice and ready and hot and smelling good had my mouth watering. When we got home the pizza was delicious well that's what the kids had told me I n hubby order subs and they was good to. If it wasn't for the customer service I would give this place a 5 star....
Read moreAfter eating here for many years I had a bad experience with 2 drivers that caused me to stop. The first acted like he was scared to take my money and he looked like he was high off something but it was handled so I ordered again like a good happy customer. The last incident however was different. A driver who had brought me the wrong drinks in the past delivered my food again 😕 and he did it again he brought me the wrong drinks again 🙄. However, when I called and asked for the manager and mind you this wasn't the manager I had talked to before but he informed me that the sodas are free and basically let me know that I should be happy with whatever I got. I explained that I paid exactly what I was charged and expected my order to be exactly what I ordered regardless and if it was a problem I just would order somewhere else from now on. I don't really think that you can walk in the store and get sodas without purchasing something. So last week I ordered from another place and tonight I'm trying a different location. We'll see if the new location takes customer service any more seriously. It's a shame because the telephone operators at North Ave are terrific and after so many years I'll miss their familiar...
