Ignore the racist non-sense that people post. That is getting old. However Friday night all you can eat fish. 5:15 pm they were out of fish.People came and couldn't order the fish They now have an automatic 3% service fee added to your bill even when paying with cash.I know its getting tough for family restaurants but their modern technology wireless handhelds that guilt's you into tipping right away when they process your payment just feels wrong, the no choice service fee feels wrong. And once these thing are in place they never change back. You use to walk up to cashiers, maybe a bowl of candy awaited you to take a complimentary piece, and you chatted for a moment with the cashier who asked if everything was satisfactory. You gladly tipped without the guilt trip Things are becoming more and more impersonal. Personal non electronic service was one of the reasons people want to dine at a small family diner.Their food is good reasonably priced. However Restaurant point of sale customer billing systems marketed to restaurant owners have no idea what simple personal service feels like. I don't know how much these systems save restaurants but it has made me stop wanting to come back.I can get this type of impersonal service at McDonalds. I think we will start...

Ate here for the first time in years on a Friday around 11AM. Fa-Ray's has always been a wonderful restaurant and they seem to have only gotten better. The food is even better than I remember and still at a reasonable price. My husband and I both had coffee and the country fried beef steak breakfast that comes with sausage gravy, eggs, hash browns and toast. Everything was delicious and you can tell the country fried steak is hand breaded and fried and the sausage gravy is made from scratch and not spicy at all. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and the rye toast had a wonderful mouth feel without being overly seeded. The staff was friendly and offered to refill our coffees in a timely manner. Our entire meal with drinks was $33. The only issue we had was after we had paid the waitress forgot to give us our paid receipt which wasn't a huge deal. We just sat and finished our coffee and when the receipt didn't come 5 minutes after we paid we just checked the bank account to make sure it cleared then left. That aside I would highly...

Tonite was not a good dining experience, we seated ourselves , to a booth that still needed to be cleaned. We were not greeted, or acknowledged. 3 employees walked right by us several times, in the mean time 3 other tables had seated themselves. I stopped one of the servers who had taken an order with one of the other tables, and said hun we were here before them , she replied " I didn't see you". She brought us our water, i commented we would like the fish dinner, she then replied ,it will be a minute. She went to yet another table after us. It was 20 min already. Our sever Jessica, took our order, at this particular time there 6 tables, 20 min later, I asked how much longer, due to the fact other tables after us had already been served.. Upon delivery of our food we requested malt vinegar, well my fish got cold waiting on that. Jessica never checked on us until a box was needed . I personally prefer not to have her as our server , if I...

I haven’t been here to Fa-Ray’s Family Restaurant in years and now I remember why. When we first ordered, my girlfriend ordered a Grilled Chicken Sandwich we had to send it back, it was so dry it was cracking apart, she sent it back and ordered the Belgian Waffle , the same thing I had, now the Belgian waffle was definitely good but that sandwich couldn’t be eaten. I ordered coffee and my girlfriend ordered a Coke, not once did our waitress come by to ask if we wanted a refill or a warm up. I’m not sure I’ll be going back, if I do I’ll stick to the Belgian waffle. Definitely a mediocre experience.

Great small town diner. They have a lot of out of the box options like chicken and waffles, and paninis. It won't be the cheapest place to eat, but the quality and variety make it a good value in my opinion. Service is always good and fast, and their daily specials are a great value on top of the already decent prices. I love their burgers, fries, and onion rings. I also love that you can get breakfast served all day. Their chicken and dumpling soup is a must-try item as well. I eat here about once a week, and I can definitely recommend it to anyone passing through the area.

Breakfast on a Saturday morning. Nice diner with that classic feel. The place was maybe 3/4 full, so there was no wait for a table. Drink orders were taken as we sat down. I had the country fried steak and eggs. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the eggs were over easy and cooked nicely as well. Also served with hash browns. Service was great, and the coffee refills kept coming. Price was reasonable, about $15 per person, including beverages. I left full and satisfied.
